      I took a B-100 multivitamin before bed last night. Has all the good stuff: choline, B-whatever-you-can-imagine all in X000% dosages, etc... Three vivid ones last night.

      My barn is not a hotel! [10/25/09]

      It is very dark. I'm inside the old hay barn, and there is an empty hay wagon parked in the central area that I'm standing next to. There is enough chaff on the floor to be springy underfoot. There is a slight hint of mold in the air. A group of muffled male voices are outside talking. Suddenly, one of the doors rolls open. A gruff British voice says "alright men, find a spot to lay down for the night." Not wanting to be discovered, I duck down and try to roll under the wagon. For some reason, something is blocking me. A WWII-era British soldier is walking down the aisle-way that I'm sticking halfway out into. I bite the bullet and pull out a small LED flashlight [anachronism] out of my pocket, spring up, and shine it. The guy reels, then lowers his rifle once he sees that I'm unarmed. I tell him that I'm not going to hurt him, and ask him not to bother me. He relents, and I climb up into the hay loft. To my surprise, there are a bunch of German-looking soldiers lying down up there.

      [Isn't one of my Constitutional rights not to quarter soldiers in my home?]

      Unlockables [same]

      I'm playing through some sort of side-scrolling 3D video game wherein I had to play through as the worst two characters to unlock anything else.

      Well, at least they tell me [same]

      I disconnect from some sort of file sharing program and a screen pops up that says, "The Following have been watching you: (Something I don't Recognize), The Police. We recommend that this computer's hard disk be reformatted to prevent any possible legal repercussions." I'm thinking that Big Bro has been watching me for a while now, as I have an interest in MJ legalization and a few other less than legal activities. My 8-hour pirated Beatles stash probably doesn't do me any good, either.

      I changed the color of my MindMaster program. The messages are now red instead of the default blue.

      Strangely distant pocket noises [10/26/09]

      I'm watching some sort of cellulosic ethanol commercial and find it interesting. S, my brother, walks through, and I tell him about it. He doesn't say anything and walks on by. Later, there's an ad about natural Sprite and a program about the middle east.
      [Whatever, that's not important. But what comes next is more curious.]
      C, a girl I haven't seen (or really want to see) in ages, walks through, and she tells me that she needs a "water breaker" reset. [Sorta like a circuit breaker, but with water.] I follow her around back. It is daytime, with an overcast sky. It is warm and humid, and it smells like it just rained. Through the back door is a washing machine and a control box. I open the door, but can't see anything inside, so I try to grab for a flashlight in my back pocket. I hear a clinking of metal behind me, not inside my pocket, but a few feet behind me. [It seems that reaching for a light in my back pocket is becoming my new dreamsign. It was in the last update, too.] I find it strange, but move on anyway. [Coulda been lucid right there.] I look inside and a pipe is printed with the phrase "to reset, turn collar, press switch." I grasp the collar on the left of the pipe, turn it, then flick the wall switch next to me. The water comes on in the washing machine. C says thank you and hugs me. [I've never had really close contact with a DC before.]

      Acid? [11/6/09]

      I think that I've taken acid in the form of a square of graph paper. Dad took me for a drive, and for some reason, I kept going down streets either backwards or sideways.

      Maybe DV is taking over my life [11/14/09]

      I had an Email from DV, specifically Ninja, asking to join some sort of adventure group. Somehow, characters from Are You Being Served? were involved.

      [This is the first time I remember interacting with a computer in my dreams.]

      Pornfest [11/15/09]

      I was downloading a bunch of porn in this one. Let's just say that it was rather lifelike and leave it at that.

      It Musta been 420 [11/16/09]

      About half a dozen people were smoking pot in my living room with wooden pipes. One guy was so high that he tried smoking the bowl upside down, and quickly found out that it didn't work that way. I pulled a bit out of the communal bag and found that it was almost all stems, but smelled really skunky. I told one of them that this was shitty stuff, and he started sorting through it until there was a pile of kief at the bottom. I stuffed some of it into Nerds boxes and hid it in my Foosball table.

      Not the most rational last sentence in the world, I know. I didn't really realize that it was funny until you said something.

      Okay, I tried melatonin last night, and had absolutely no recall. I've noticed this all of the other times that I've tried it, just neglecting to publish it. By contrast, my B-100 supplements are excellent for it, but I don't want to use them for any more than once every 2-3 days. Alcohol and antihistamines don't usually do any good.

      I woke up at about 5:30am to a mouse chewing on my bedroom door. I walked over, chased him off, and went back to bed until about 8am.

      I know my truck [11/20/09]

      {DILD, WBTB}

      Dad was driving a Ranger with me in the passenger seat on the way to somewhere I don't know. Dad got out on a back country road, but a few seconds later, the truck started to roll backwards into a ditch. I leaned over and hit the emergency brake [I actually pulled the release, but it worked anyway.] The truck stopped, but while I was bent over, I saw a flashing light on a rubber button that said "rear end gearbox." I thought it was strange, as I'd never seen any sort of indicator light like that on any vehicle, farm or otherwise. Curious, I step out and walk around to the rear end of the truck. It is warm and sunny out, with a few scant, wispy clouds in the sky, and a warm, gentle breeze. I get around to the back and bend down to look at the rear end and suspension. Nothing seems wrong, aside from the fact that it looks nothing like the suspension on the Ranger that I drive around in.
      I step back and say, "This is weird. Now that I remember it, the truck seemed to shift all on its own. Dad would never drive a strange truck, much less an automatic. I must be dreaming." I decide to look at my hands. Suddenly, my vision snaps to a white background. I stick my hands out in front of me, palms facing towards me. They appear semitransparent, as if they were the hands and arms of a tanned ghost. I tried the hand-in-hand reality check. [Even though I knew that it had failed me before.] I made the "time-out" signal with my hands, and I felt the same tingling sensation that I had in this dream where they met. I though hard and said, "These are dream hands. They don't exist. They should pass through each other." I pushed hard and watched as my fingers stuck through the back of my other hand. I shouted, "Holy Shit! I'm lucid! What should I do?" My vision then snapped back to where I was before. The country was wide open, so my first thought was to try to fly. I started to run as fast as I possibly could down the long, flat, straight road. But before I could really gain any speed, my vision started to fade around the edges, and faded away entirely before I had a chance to take off.

      [This has broken a what, 5 month dry spell? Didn't really get to do anything, but I'm still happy. ]

      High School-life crisis [12/04/09]

      I had an extremely true-to life vivid dream in which I realized that the class ahead of me was graduating and I would be in the next senior class. I talked to D, a senior in the class ahead of me about it. Bugger I can't remember any of the details.

      I don't ride the bus! [1/14/10]

      {DILD, WBTB}
      As to day was a weekday, I was suited to waking up at 5:30. When I woke up, however, it was about 6:30. I laid in bed until about 7:30 and fell back asleep, waking at about 8:00

      The environment sort of patterns itself after my old elementary school. I remember doing something with script writing with Miss E, my former spanish teacher. The dismissal bell rung, and I needed to take a leak. I ducked into a single-occupant restroom. The urinal, strangely enough, was set into the floor and had running water in it. Relieving myself, I heard the door open and close behind me. "I must have forgotten to lock the door," I thought. Finished, I left and went outside. It was overcast and raining, but the sun shone through the clouds to leave everything in an orange cast. The buses were driving by. "Oh shit," I said, "I missed the bus! How the hell am I going to get home!? Wait a minute, I don't even ride the bus! I'm in high school. I drive home. I must be dreaming." As soon as I said that, I started hearing background noises in my house. I attempted to do the hand-in-hand reality check. My right palm felt rather solid, but my sleeve obscured the back of my hand, so I extended my arms to pull back my sleeve. As soon as I had done that, my vision faded back to my bedroom...

      My B-100 is fantastic stuff. Coupled with a school closure today and the resulting extra sleep, I can recall 3-5 dreams, TWO of them lucid.

      Another bus one [2/8/10]

      {DILD}

      I had to catch a bus to a gifted seminar of some sort. It was overcast outside, and it felt like it had just rained. I was standing outside of my house, when I realized that I was still in work clothes. As I was stripping off, magically getting clothes out of nowhere, the "bus" pulls up, turns around, and heads off in the other direction. It was blue, had a bunch of black-haired children in the back, and had no sides.

      The next second I'm inside a bus. I say, "What the hell? Didn't I just miss this thing? I gotta be dreamin.'" I proceeded to use the hand-in-hand reality check. I kept telling myself,"these are dream hands. This should work." I noticed a small bulge on the back of my hand, and the contact point felt sort of hot and tingly. Somebody, H, was up front shooting his mouth off. I wanted to try my "muting" power again, so I yelled, "shut up H!" constantly reminding myself that this is a dream and should work. No such luck. I also saw KK on the bus, along with a few other DCs I don't know. I also noticed that the bus was numbered very strangely: the last seat had the number 72 above it.

      Once we arrive out front of the high school, we're greeted by a long set of serving tables with rather peculiar looking food on them. The only thing I could recognize was fried chicken.
      As a line of people were filling up our plates, I heard a voice say,"have you all got your white forms?" I start searching through my pockets, when I think to myself, "Hey, this is a dream. Maybe I can summon an object to appear in my pocket." So I try to imagine what a white, folded-up sheet of official-looking paper would look like in my pocket. I felt around and, yes! A sheet of paper! However, when I pulled it out, the paper was bright orange instead of white. The kid next to me pulled out a white form on an 8.5"x14" piece of paper. I ask Mom, [which isn't that smart of a thing to do], who had just appeared suddenly along with Dad, who was staring out in the distance, "Have you got the white form?" "No, I thought I gave it to you before we left," she replied.
      I can't remember anything beyond here...

      Twisted school locker chase [same]

      {DILD,WBTB}

      [I can't remember much of this one; I forgot to write it down immediately.]

      Prior to this, I was grading a paper in Spanish class with a blue felt-tipped marker, but it marked a line that shimmered between red, purple, and blue all the time. I asked the guy next to me if he thought it was strange, and he thought nothing of it.

      Classes changed, and it was lunch time. I had to head down to my locker to get something, when, as per the Dream Law of Complicated, Unrecognizable and Un-Navigable Interiors, the everything in the bottom floor of the school rearranged itself. I am completely lost immediately. The cafetorium is West, a small hallway leads Eastward to the guidance office, and between the two on the North side are many files of thousands of lockers abutting an unenclosed library. I head down one of the files in search of a locker whose number I can barely remember. Was it 1432, 1343, 1332, I don't know. I just hope that I can find the sucker based on memory and sight.

      After what seems like a long time wandering down file after file of lockers with no discernible pattern, I get the sensation that somebody is following me. I turn around, and two guys that I recognize as the bad guys from Home Alone are behind me, evidently searching for my locker as well. I run out of the current file of lockers and realize, "Hey this is a dream. I'm lost, in a complicated building, being chased, and looking for something all at the same time." I try the hand-in-hand RC again, this time it passes completely. Still unconvinced, I pinch my nose and inhale. I can feel small streams of cool air being pulled through my nose. I tell myself, "Since this is a dream, maybe I can teleport to my locker." I close my eyes, and start imagining what my locker looks like. I realize that I have no clue in the world what my locker is supposed to look like, much less how to teleport there. I say, "Fuck it. I got two guys chasing me. I need to find a place to hide." I run to the north end of the open library and lose the two chasing me. What is more interesting is the fact that the north end is devote to some sort of magical knickknack storage room. A door is facing the East side of this room that has a bell on the back. I touch it and the door pops open. [It must have been intended to be opened from the other side by knocking and setting the bell off.] This room has a double-dutch door that faces South, back into the files of lockers. I sit down next to this door, holding it shut and hoping that if the two bad guys try the door, they will think that it's locked. By Murphy's Law, the top door swings open. The two guys are on the other side. One says "go check that out." The shorter of the two looks in and says "I can't see him in here." The taller one peers over the top of the bottom door and says, "I do."

      [Analysis:

      I've developed a consistent list of dream signs:
      Warped architecture in familiar buildings
      Bus riding
      Searching for something
      Mom saying things that are ridiculous or out of place.

      H-I-H is starting to become less reliable. However, I use it mostly to confirm that I'm dreaming after I've figured it out by logic.

      I need to add object summoning and teleportation to my list.
      A B-100 tablet seems to promote DILDs if taken before bed and given extra time to sleep.
      I need to start going to bed earlier.]

      Edit: since it appears that object summoning is already on the list I'll count this dream as completing it. There'll be an addendum though: becoming consistent.

      Wow guys. I was feeling rather depressed tonight and started reading this thread again. I thought that my dreams were rather mundane compared to some expert journals, but now I realize just how special they are. Since I'm feeling rather down, I might try picking LD back up again.

      Lightbulb RE: Try to Fly [4/19/09]

      Your dreams have a similar quality to my first recorded ones. I like the color and formatting you have used in your posts too.

      Try to Fly [4/19/09]
      I'm on the far west side of the school's cafeteria. I suddenly remind myself that I'm lucid. I think, "I should try to do something." I look over on the other side, and there's a balcony on the second floor. I decide to fly to it. I remember that the first time a person tries to fly it should be done with a running start. There's not much space, and there are a bunch of tables between me and my goal. So I try to do it from a jump from the ground. So I jump, hands above me, and quickly find out that it's waaaay easier to jump in the dream world. I have no clue how to turn myself parallel to the ground, and I'm still traveling up. My knuckles hit the bottom of an overhang.
      Flying is something I had done in many dreams prior to being lucid trained. I recommend watching lots of movies about characters who fly superbly... Like Superman or the Matrix Reloaded. Also, playing video games in which your character is able to fly at will, helps.

      I usually leap into the air the instant I suspect it's a dream, even indoors.
