Really? I think altars are great places. My crstal is there, too. I use my crystal all the time. It's one of my dream allies. I look into it to manifest things, people, answers, etc.!

WILD Day at the Beach

I had incubated waking up in the tropics in Negril, Jamaica.
I got the tropics, but a black sand beach instead of white sand... oh well!
Strength : medium vivid
Length: long (remembering just parts of it...)
Seemed to go right into REM.

8 AM


WILD: I wound up on some black beach and put my hands in the black pebbles. I was walking in the sand. Then I went swimming and that was absolutely divine! Then, I wanted to meet someone and I called out and invited somebody to visit me. Finally I met somebody and I asked him if he would tell me something but I couldn't get a good answer out of him. He took me back into town. Then I was in this beach island town in my car, and I was lost, with my car pointed towards the water, which was not the way that would get me back home (so I guess I wasn't in the tropics anymore). I got out of my car, and this person started waving at me who was just climbing onto a bus - he was a stranger, a tall dark and handsome man. He seemed to know me. He was saying, "There you are, there you are, I've been trying to see to say hi to you!” It took me a while to realize he was talking to me. I looked back at him finally. So he got on the bus, and I called out, “I love you”, as he left. and he seemed really happy about that. After that I was trying to figure out how to get back to the city as I was still lost. But I was really glad that I had met this man.

Crazy Carrots

7 AM: Someone was coming back from camping, and they were complaining about how heavy their load was. They had these giant carrots that weighed about hundred pounds each, that were shaped kind of like balls with a flat side and points on them.

I could have used this as a moment to go lucid, as I have seen giant carrots once before in a dream. But I woke up instead. Bring on more carrots, I say! I am not sure why carrots keep coming up for me... .


DILD Rafting in Hawaii

vividness: pretty high

8:01 AM: I was in Hawaii, showing someone around, and pointing out this gorgeous coastline that I had fondly loved myself. We even watched some stallions or wild horses racing into the ocean, and frolicking there. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Then I ran into some friends of mine rafting down the river, later on in the same dream. I was feeling sad that I was not in Hawaii with my friends. Everything looked so familiar but I was so sad that I didn't live here, and suddenly I went lucid and realized I could go lucidly rafting and enjoy the experience even more. I was enjoying this exhilarating thrill of going down a raft in the rapids in Hawaii - it was so exhilarating and I was really happy- this is what life is all about! I looked at my hands a few times to stay lucid, but eventually the dream faded

Note: I changed supplements last night. No melatonin. Woke up rather late anyway for taking supps (4:50 AM), Took 1 tsp. ribose, choline bitartrate small amount, 1 b-25, 1 tyrosine 500. No problems getting back to sleep. Did seem to feel like I was sleeping somewhat lighter, perhaps more vivid. But more time and experimenting is needed.

I was born on the Big Island. There are pictures of me and my sister playing at black sand beaches. I loved black sand. It's gorgeous.

i saw a rainbow buddha once for example - sign of transcendance. didn't kwow till i looked it up.
so now i have a picture of the rainbow buddha on my altar. very beatiful. both the picture and the concept.

so i collect what is meaningful and put it there.

Filmy Barrier, I like that phrase... Like a bubble.

On my dream shrine I have little figurines of my totems and other allies.

Wow, that's an amazing dream! And your buddha has rainbow qualities, too... which i learned indicate the transendence out of the body.

Thanks for sharing that dream with me. It totally inspires me to have more lucid dreams!
I have had some far out stuff... just haven't posted it.
but I suspect... the best is yet to come... i am still learning... i guess we all are!

i like the astral travel parts, too, i want to do more of that!

Non-lucid dream

A Platter of Pickles and Some Peace...

8:10 AM I have spent the night in Long Island at Lani's house. (They are very wealthy.) Earlier in the day we had been in her kitchen, and several of her relatives had brought over their children. They were dressed in very expensive designer kid’s clothing. It reminded me of my own childhood, in a sense, being dressed up like a little doll. There was a lot of family energy. Lani brought me some hors d'oeuvres, a platter of giant assorted pickles. She said “here you must be hungry”. Maybe there was a wedding that was going on.

She was being very tender with me. Later on I was in a room downstairs with one of her brothers, studying the red carpet, an oriental carpet. I was feeling profoundly peaceful, and didn't want to leave. I looked outside and the skies were gray, and I wasn't even sure I want to leave to go home. However, I have to drive back to the city and drop some people off at the airport, so I knew I had to leave eventually. I have this feeling these people want to invite me to stay longer. But, I have to go.

Note: Lani is one of my dream signs or dream characters. I see her often.

Making some friends!

6:40 AM: I was at a corporate dinner with Ivan and I was outspoken with some people at the table. I spoke my mind, I spoke up and help them resolved an argument and stuck my nose in their business. At first they were really shocked that I did this, and even kind of offended. Eventually they resolved their fight so I wound up looking really good. Then I did this with another couple of people so I wound up making friends with this entire group of people and after that we're all sitting around the table as friends.

Lucid Dream

Confusions abound amidst pleasure: Of Iphones, A Sex Toy, and More ....

8:30 AM: I had this dream where I woke up and wanted to record my dream, I was looking for my iPhone, and there were many iPhones there of all shapes and sizes. I got very flustered trying to find the right one, because I wanted to record the dream I was having. Suddenly I got lucid - and realized I was turned on, and decided I would rather go over the edge (orgasmically) instead. So I found a sex toy and I used it to take myself over the edge. This was highly enjoyable, but then I remembered that I had been in the process of looking for my recorder, so I went back to looking for my iphone recorder, and found it. I was still kind of frustrated because I was trying to remember the dream I had before the iphone split into 10 or so different iPhones, so even though I had had fun with my sex toy, I was anxious to get back to remembering my dream and writing it down. I woke myself up so I could write down at least the part of the dream that I could still remember.

My 'aumakua are he'e, pua'a and pueo. Kanaloa, Kamapua'a and Pueo. Sea, Land, Air.

I have a shrine in my room, and a dream shrine. They are similar.

So, your dream shrine and waking life shrines are similar! Crossing the filmy divides...

i looked up your 'amakua, Kanaloa, Kamapua'a, and Pueo.. i especially like Kanaloa. Way cool... the eye is very beautiful and powerful.

And yes, i could have done *way* more with that last lucid dream.

Where Do I Go From Here?

7:46 AM:
Before the dream I had an intense hypnagogic rushes, must've lasted quite a while.

This woman died, and I was in a communal living house, and I was kind of hoping for her bed, and some people came and plugged up her nose, and her teeth were really weird, and I think she was really just half alive and half dead. I was hoping she would die so I could move into her bed but this other guy came in and took it instead so I was disappointed. I was going to go sleep on the couch but started listening to the guy. He turned out to be a chef or a farmer and he said “follow me” so I followed him out and we were sitting by a natural pool, and he was asking me to help him cook. I wasn't sure I wanted to do this. He was starting to get vegetables together. His face kept changing and turning into a different person. I was trying to decide whether to help him or go back to bed. But what bed?

I was thinking of going off and looking for another bed, but it wasn't quite ready to do that either.

Comments: I had many opportunities in this dream to go lucid! Three dream signs: vegetables, weird teeth, and strange things happening in the dream. But missed them all...

WILD Meeting Kanaloa Underwater

6:34 AM: I decided I wanted to meet Kanaloa, and went into a WILD. I was on the shores of a beach in Hawaii, so I dove into the ocean and swam into the sea, where I found him. He was a pink-purple-orange colored octopus, very stately, floating in the water. I talked to him, I kept looking at him and his beautiful one eye, that was this incredible geometric pattern. And he kept reaching out and scooping me up with his tentacle or arm. At one point he scooped up Waking Nomad as well and told me that it would be good for me to have an ally. So there we were, both floating in free-space underwater each in one of Kanaloa's arms. I asked him for a healing drink and he gave me some of his ink or some secretion- but he said “it only works if you follow the path”, and I said, “what path”? And he said “you know what I mean”. It was so much fun swimming there under the water to see him, and breathing underwater was really fun too!

I wound up on land a few times but just use my intention to get back there to talk to him again. At one point on the land I ran into a bunch of hooligans in a car. These guys… maybe three or four of them…They had big muscles, and one of them had strange tattoos on his arms. They were hassling me but I told them off.

Anyway, I kept coming back to Kanaloa. I kept looking into his eye and at one point he beamed this really intense energy into my eye. I could literally see this electric white light going from him into me. Or between us. I was enthralled by the pattern in his eye. A few more times he scooped me up into his arms, and it was really fun just laying there in his arms. He said, “right now you need to be held and rocked. This is really good for you.”

Comment: I decided to set higher goals for myself in my lucid dreaming. I set the intention the night before to meet Kanaloa in my dreams the next morning. I stayed firm in my resolve. I found it was not hard at all.

6:45 AM: WILD: I decided I wanted to meet a Chi master and get some instructions from him. I wound up in Berkeley in some office. The assistant wanted to make me a drink, but I wanted the master to come out and give me some exercises. Finally he came out and ran his hands over me, and down my body. He asked me to do flexible things. Then I came out of lucidity.


Non Lucid Miniature Dragon Race

7:08 AM: I was in this basement and a bunch of guys were racing this little dragon around. Either that or it was a miniature dinosaur, like a triceratops. I felt sorry for the miniature dragon, but understood that it was a male bonding thing, or a ritual. This is really weird and I wanted to go lucid, but I woke up.

DILD Making Food Fly... Fun!

8:44 AM: I was in Whole Foods, shopping, and wondering what vegetable to get. I wanted to make my dream to be more interesting so I went lucid and I invited a vegetable to fly into my hands, and a cabbage flew right into my open, outstretched hand. I kept shopping, and invited a bottle of vitamins to find to my hands. I think it was a bottle of silica, because there was a picture of quartz on the label. Then I wanted a grain, so I stopped by the breads, and invited again an item to jump into my hands. Rice almond bread flew into my cart. Then I wanted to meet a dream character. I spotted a grocery attendant off in the distance, but even though I spun, my lucidity started to fade.

Comments: I was really surprised I had these dreams today. Last night I crashed early, and then, I woke up around midnight and had a very hard time going back to sleep. I drank a lot of valerian. I was sure I had ruined my chances for decent REM, but obviously, this was not the case.

I had not set up very good goals for myself in advance, and as a result. I found myself having to come up with better goals on the spot. I am learning that it is important to have challenging goals for myself if I am to have a decent lucid dream. This is why I insisted on having the Chi Master teach me some exercises, even though my plan did not come to fruition. I set a difficult goal for myself. But I did succeed in having objects flying to my hands, and I was very pleased about that.

Interesting: in the DILD, my dream sign "vegetables" may have been my trigger to go lucid - yay! ... plus I also then saw "crystals", another dream sign. (Although I was lucid when I saw that one...). (Do dreamsign still work when you are lucid?)

I think that chef farmer was me. I work on a farm. I went to chef school, but I dropped out. I am a vegetarian. I love vegetables!

"Where do you want to go?," asked Raven. "Another medieval adventure?" I offered. "No," said Raven, "something different." "How about an undersea adventure?" asked Selene. Raven smiled at her and opened a portal. The four of us stepped through. We were in a giant undersea cave. It was large enough to fit an aircraft carrier in it. The walls were lined with luminescent stuff growing, that was waving back and forth in the current. It looked like octopus eggs. A giant shark with glowing green eyes smashed into the opening of the cave, but it was too big to fit inside. I turned into Neptune, and spun at the shark, drilling into its nose.

"Outsiders!" someone shouted, "you lead the great shark here!" The other people looked like humans made of glowing jellyfish flesh. I turned us into merpeople. I turned around and looked at the cave people. I was holding a trident, and wearing a coral crown. I had a big white beard. I looked like an old guy that can kick your ass.
"We did not intend to lure the shark here. For that, I apologize. We wish to communicate with your people," I said.
"Atlanteans!" they gasped. "Atlanteans! Tell the king!"
One said, "Follow us."
Two swam in front, two behind, and two on each side. They were suspicious of us, but were guarding us from attack. We continued on until the cave opened up to a great dark room. There was a giant pale squid, glowing faintly blue-green in the darkness. I felt a dark ancient intelligence, and and strength beyond centuries.
"Are you Morpheus?" I asked dumbly.
The squid king laughed. He told us there were three different species of sentient sea people living in the undersea caves.

I am looking forward to sharing dreams with you. That's cool that Kanaloa told you I am your ally.

Earlier: Used Heart-Breathing WILD induction. Very rewarding. Will use more of this!!!

Non lucid Dream fragment:

I went to the movies, and had to get a pair of movie shoes, much like you would get a pair of bowling shoes. But I never returned my movie shoes. Then I went to visit my aunt, who was happy to see me, but very involved in rearranging the furniture. She seemed emotional and I had to calm her down.

WILD/DILD A Gorgeous Amythyst Crystal, and a few Visits in the Rain...

long but lower level lucidity– enjoyed teleportation, car flying, heart breathing

8:41 AM: I remember having a false awakening. I woke up in another room and realized I had been lying on the floor with all my crystals, and found a new crystal. I thought, I can't believe I've been having my entire LD in a new room, on the floor! One of my new crystals was kind of squishy, and about 8 inches, like a pillow filled with little liquid crystals, which I felt was interesting. Another one was a beautiful 6 inch double pointed one, with amethyst shadings, and another amethyst dot in the center. Since I knew I was having a false awakening I decided to go back to my LD. I curled right back up on the floor and went right back into my lucid dreaming. I'm glad I don't have to classify these things too much!

Since it was such a long lucid dream, it's hard to remember everything that happened. Plus it was kind of low-level for much of it. But I do remember going to visit Chris, an amazing mentor of mine, and also the Chi Master in Berkeley, but not much happened. Also since it was raining out, I did a lot of driving, I think in sympathy with the fact that it was raining out. At one point I tried flying in my car, treating it like a spaceship. I thought, even in my lucid dream, that it wasn't nearly as much fun flying in my car as it was in person, feeling the raw air around my body. Just being in the sky itself. This was a little boring. So I landed the car and kept driving.

I teleported to a beach, and went swimming, but it wasn't a very rich experience.

Of course, I woke up in my bed where I had been all along! Gee – that 6 inch quartz/amethyst double Herkimer with the dot was such a nice crystal, too - wouldn't I love to have that in real life!

[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]Comments: I liked the heart breathing method. I mixed in a little of the 61 point method at times. The heart breathing method got me to focus on my heart rate and to simulate the kind of breathing one does when they are sleeping, so I think this is a very good WILD induction method which I will do more of. It left me free to focus on hypnagogic imagery and focusing my intentions and visualizations, while also putting attention on my sleep breathing and making sure it was steady, and the kind of breathing you do when you were sleeping at times I lit up my hands so they would be buzzing and golden, the kind of experience you would get in SP. Very nice combination.

You better return those movie shoes, or they you will get a hefty bill in the mail. Movies shoes are so expensive. I don't know why, ugly things.

That crystal sounds lovely. That's cool that it was squishy. How funny. Next time eat it and see what happens. I am going to start eating a lot of random things in dreams. Why not? haha

re the rain, there's an interesting example of crossing the dream/wake divide! Wow! but... what kind of enemies do you have in waking life?

ps... i toyed with the idea of returning the "movie shoes"... or giving them to the goodwill... but... like dorothy and the red magic shoes... something tells me i should hold on to the "movie shoes" for a little bit.

i think i will try wearing them again and see what happens!

as for eating some crystal... i realized something - i already do. liquid silica is very good for my body. i eat it (drink it) every day!!!

i can try eating other things. i get it... have a little fun, here, beachgirl... star in some stories to write home about one day... i like this...

Non Lucid Dream: Of Cats and Crowds

7:08 AM: There a whole bunch of us in this bedroom having a talking circle, and the noise is getting progressively louder, until he drove me from the room. It was at that point that I realized how well I had been doing with so much clamor. Everyone had been sharing and talking until this music rocks had come on and the music was blasting. I couldn't deal with it. There was a guy with a beard and mustache who was kind of obnoxious who had turned on the music, and he refused to turn down the music when I asked him. He actually started running after me and chasing me with the music box. There were these cats and maybe dogs, and one of them had come into my lap, and of course these are my dream signals, and I missed it. But the cat was sleeping in my lap. It might've been someone's birthday.

I went back to my bedroom where Ivan was just waking up and I started to tell him what has been, with some upset in my voice. And my ears were hurting. He was lying in a beautiful white bed with gorgeous white linens.


Non Lucid Dream: Being “Shot” in the Dark

8:19 AM: I was being photographed and at times I was blindfolded. I woke up and took off my blindfold and realized I had forgotten to take off my blindfold. The man would take pictures of me, while I was posing, and the flash would go off, and then we would see what the picture looked like, and it would be kind of a surprise. I think in retrospect this was kind of like a series of false awakenings. They were pretty cool. This happened a few times, where the flash should go off, and then I would see what the picture looked like. This guy had this little blonde daughter with these very long gorgeous blonde ringlet curls. He was doing boudoir photography and laughing about how he's going to have to take pictures again.

I remember before that I had gotten into an argument with the little girl. I'm not sure what it was about, but when I saw her, I remember thinking I would let go of whatever we had fought about.

It was really cool- the feeling of the flash going off and being blindfolded at the same time.

Comments: I was pretty disappointed at missing my obvious dream sign, the cat. I resolved that I would for sure recognize any cats the next time I saw them in a dream.

Non-Lucid Dream: Poor Little Kitty Cat


6:48 AM: I was coming up stairs with a pair of glasses in my hand to take care of this wounded cat upstairs. I had put the cat there. There was a healthy cat downstairs. I had remembered that the cat was my dream sign. The cat was lying on its back, and I could see its belly, and its wound, and it was crying plaintively and pitifully. It was very intense and vivid, and I knew to go lucid, but unfortunately, the act of going lucid took me out of my dream.

Comments:this morning I had woken up early to do WILDing and again had gone into intense HH or SP or whatever it's called. I was not so upset about waking up instead of going lucid.

I was much happier that I had recognized the dream sign. I felt like I was making progress. I know I can teach myself to remain more steady in the future. After all I have had a lot of experience going lucid with other dream signs. Overall I felt good about this.

i bought a playful card today with a regal persian kitty with a little crown on her... and made her one one of my dream signals. she is somewhere in my house, on display, so where i see here, i do an RC now.
