That happens to me sometimes. I find I have to not move once I wake up, close my eyes almost immediately and think to myself "I am in a dream I am lucid" as much as I can. After a few seconds some weird HI will happen and I'll find myself asleep.
Maybe you could try that with WBTB. Be sure to have been asleep for at least 4 hours.

For it to work you have to be very tired after you wake up, which shouldn't be too hard. Usually 4 or 5 hours sleep isn't enough for me (I think 8 hours is recommended minimum for everyone) but its enough time to fall asleep and go lucid.

WARNING: Because you are tired you may forget about lucid dreams and fall asleep. Sometimes its impossible to avoid. Try to maintain focus.

Sounds more like a DEILD than a WILD
