16.03.2010 Meeting Gabe (Non-lucid)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
Well, this is a weird one. First, the house across from mine is getting expanded. What this means is that the top two floors are "hollowed out". The sides and roof are still there, but the front, back, and everything in between is gone. I see workers walking around, and a kid is standing on the top floor. I wonder how he doesn't fall.
Now I'm meeting with Valve's Gabe Newell.
Well actually my dad is. I had seen an interview of him at GDC the day before. Gabe is talking about the "corruption of the bureaucrats" or something. Riveting. He also mentions a tragedy involving a kid falling from a great hight. lol The place I'm in doesn't feel familiar, but my papercrafts are there, so it must be my house. Of course, none of the papercrafts are the same as the ones I have in real life. They are arranged on some sort of rotating temple diagram, with specific icons marking where the paper models are supposed to go. Gabe mentions my sister, I think, and probably wonders what I'm doing, but I'm too busy fixing a papercraft animal's more fragile than real life ears.
Now I'm driving a car up a steep driveway, and I hate doing this, because the car rolls backward, and there are some kids behind me that I don't really want to roll over. I get the car to stop, and me and my dad get out. Why I was driving my dad around, I have no idea. Apparently, we've come to an old woman's house. Dad says she's famous for some reason, but I'm not really listening. There is a tunnel entrance in front of us, with some kids playing in front of it, and next to it is a path leading up the hill to the house. An old tall thin woman stands on the doorstep. Kinda creepy actually, because she doesn't say or do anything. Also, I think this takes place at night, so even though we can see fine, the sky is pitch black, which makes it even creepier. Next thing I know is that dad wants us to make the tunnel cave in. It does, somehow, and Dad remarks how now she won't have to worry about junk mail. Which doesn't make any sense because there's a mailbox outside the tunnel entrance. We're going to leave, when some evil people arive. Obviously, we can tell they are evil because they are wearing dark robes and such. Dad says he wants to go talk to them, (more talking!?), and the dream ends.
