Thread: LUCIDMAX's max lucids!

Just a small question. Would you like me to use past tense while narrating my dreams, or present tense?

Example :

Past tense : Suddenly, I heard a gushing voice. Then, all of the paths leading out of the place were blocked by heavy iron gates, the kind you see on old metal safes. We all started to panic, and began to run here and there, pounding the doors and trying with all our might to escape. But it was useless.

Present tense : I hear a gushing voice. All of the paths leading out of the place are blocked with heavy iron gates, the kind you see on old metal safes. We start to panic, and begin to run here and there, pounding the doors and trying with all our might to escape. But it's useless.

Thats a hard question. They both work well. I think you should use past tense because of how your dreams often have continuous storys and have great actiony plots.

Past tense is the proper one.

Beach party with Moses!!

I was on a beach party. The beach looked exactly like the image above, but there was also a cute little wooden beach house. I was along with five of my friends. All of us were in swim suits. I looked at mine. The were knee high drawstring trousers or something, colored blue, with a white image of a palm tree.
There were really fierce waves. I mean REALLY fierce. The wind was strong enough to pull us out of course, and the waves rose more than five meters high. It was a cloudy day, but the sun's rays were just visible through the gaps in the clouds.
I could hear a far off seagull's cry. We started to play beach volleyball, but the wind was too fierce and would cause the ball to go astray. Somehow, all of us found that extremely funny. We started to laugh, hard. We were laughing without stopping, without any particular reason except the ball's going off course. We laughed so much that it started to hurt my stomach, and tears came into my eyes. Finally, we hiccuped ourself to silence. Spontaneously, out of nowhere, I became lucid. Perhaps it was due to the fact that I live in a city in the middle of the desert, and that we rarely get such strong waves along the coast line. Whatever, now is not the time to wonder WHY I became lucid.
There wasn't really much scenery there for me to stabilize, but I did it anyways. I used all of my senses, including activating the sense of taste by tasting some sea water. When the dream was stable enough, I spun in a circle and rubbed my hands. The clarity was already pretty good, so it didn't have that much effect. But the experience was life like, or perhaps even more vivid than real life.
I walked around. I did not want to do something too exciting early in a dream, a golden rule of mine that works like a miracle. I used to instantly start smashing up stuff but it killed my lucid dreams, and not long after I learned my lesson and became more patient.
I walked up to my friends. One of them, a guy, said, "Hey, see those waves, Max? They seem pretty big. Think we will get a sale on those?"
Another one, a girl, replied, "Yeah right, everyone knows that summer sales are only on laptops. Besides, where are you gonna stash a surfing bear in that apartment of yours?"
"Hey," he replied, "at least it's not as big as your belly, it doesn't need an acupuncture every half hour."
I was laughing hard, again. But for the fear of losing my lucidity to their one-of-a-kind conversation, I intruded and said, upon suddenly remembering, "Guys, do you know where Moses is? The one who parted the sea?"
Every one started to gape at me, like I was mad or something. Another girl said, "Like. duh! Don't you know that he is one vacation in Hawaii right now? Man, you gotta buy some fashion magazines, you know that?"
"HUH?! Moses, the spiritual kinda guy, in a fashion magazine?! Are you kidding me?"
They all start to look at me weirdly again.
"Anyways, tell me which direction is Hawaii."
They look at me in even more surprise.
"Dude, this IS Hawaii."
"Ah, I see. So then where is Moses?"
"He is on the clearing around the forest. He was helpin' lil' kids to cross the ocean, you know. To make sure they don't fall into the clams at the bottom."
"Okay, thanks for the info."
I use the rope method to pull myself toward the end of the forest. I feel a tug around my waist, and I quickly transport to there. Then, I start to run, looking for Moses.
WHOOOSH!!! A loud sound came up from ahead of me. The ground started to rumble. The wind suddenly became a heck of a lot faster. I actually had to use telekinesis on myself, imagining me glued to the ground, to avoid flying away with the wind.
Then, the whole sea in front of me split apart.



Wait, wasn't there a condition? Shit. WAIT A FUCKIN' SECOND!!!
I snapped my fingers, and stopped time. I did that by imagining a movie being paused. Everything became perfectly skill, and a little blurred, or shadowed. I had suddenly remembered that Moses need to part the Reed sea, not jut any random beach.
I tried a trick I had never done before. I concentrated any summoned a large banner that could be poked in the ground. But before writing anything, I did a reality check, stabilized more, and rubbed my hands again. I am taking no chances.
I use my finger to write something up. But I see that I have written a jumble of random words that make no sense. No matter.
I cause the letters to morph and re arrange themselves, something like Tom Riddle (Voldemort) does in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The words now read, "Welcome to REED sea!"
Not exactly what I wanted, but it was good enough. I planted in in the ground, and believed what it said.
I unfroze time. Now, the sea was blood red. Maybe something related to the similarity between "Reed" and "red".



Oh well, as long as it's a sea. The sea in now completely parted. Great! There goes another task of the year!
But, Moses seemed to be having some trouble keeping it parted like that. Don't know why, buyt I went there to help him.
I was standing on sand, which was supposed to the ocean bed. I built an invisible wall on both sides to keep the water from flowing in.
"Whew!" , said someone near to me. It was Moses! He was in a white robe, with his hood down so I couldn't see his face. He was also wearing a golden armor on one hand.
"Thanks for the help, kiddo. You could become a better Moses than me."
"No problem. Tell me, do you only go around parting seas and stuff?"
"No, but I am famous for it. Say, do you want a new dream guide?"
"Huh?!"
"Yeah, I came here to become your dream guide."
"Sorry, but I already have one."
"Oh, that vampire brat?"
"Yeah."
"But I am much greater than her. I can show you the mysteries of universe. I can lead you to the divine. I can make you spiritual. Your dreams will be the strong hold of good."
"Wow! Thats amazing. Leona never did that. Can you really do that stuff?"
"Of course I am. Who do you think I am?"
"Right. But the me something. Can you fight?"
"No, I am a good guy."
"Can you kill monsters?"
"No."
"Can you turn into a vampire?"
"No."
"Are you a hot young lady?"
"No, of course not! But that doesn't mean I am.........pleasurable." (PS sorry if anyone was offended by this, but as you know, it was just a dream, nothing else.)
"Sorry, but I am totally into women. Tell me one last thing."
"Yeah?"
"Do you know how to pilot combat space ships?"
"No, I don't."
"Sorry then, but you are just not my type. I will stick with Leona for now though. Come once in a while to give me some of that divine experience of yours, will ya?"
"Ah, that Leona. That mother fuc**ng bitc*h $/&^#!!!!!!"
"Whoa there! You're Moses. You are not suppose to curse like that. Only teenagers can do that."
"This is the 21st century, dude. So long, bi*ch!"
He disappears into thin air. Oh well. I have to wake up now, before I forget the task of the year. I force my real eyes open, something I can do even since I was not lucid dreaming, and wake up.


Oh and by the way, my exams have finished. They went real good. I am expecting at least an A in all of my O'level exams. Now I will regularly update my DJ. More dreams to come soon! ^_^

That Moses stuff was pricless. I love how he is taking a vacation in Hawaii and how he gets mad that you don't want him as your dream guide.

The Ultimate Fighting Monster VS lucid max's Group. A three way shared dream!

Absolutely the most EPIC dream of my entire life. I came home after not sleeping for an entire day and a half from a trip, and was unbelievably tired. After a good meal and a hot shower, I went straight to bed. My muscles were so tired that I need not practice any relaxation, the bed was heaven for me at that time. There was my cousin, about 9 or so, who had also gone to the trip with me, sleeping in the same room as me. It took all my might not to fall asleep, and I had to use a beeping light to keep myself conscious.
I kept looking at that small blue beeping light, concentrating on clearing my mind of thought. Perhaps after 20 minutes, I couldn't bear it any longer. My eyes were closed half-way. They remained like this for a minute. With my other half of the eye, I say that the beeping light had changed to a steady light, and the color was now green instead of blue.
Thinking I might be in a dream, I got up, extremely slowly. I first flexed my dream muscles, getting used to the sensation. As I transferred to my dream body, I noticed that I was suddenly a lot lightheaded, as if some kind of burden was relieved from me. I smiled. After all, my dream body was way more fit than my real body, which is pretty good by itself.
I got up from my bed. My eyes were now glued halfway. I could not open them, and closing them was all too easy. Fearing that the dream would end if I closed my eyes, I forced the open using my hands to pull the eyelids upwards. I succeeded. I saw a sudden bright light. I was again on a grassy hill, with only a few trees that were a good distance away. This landscape occurs so much in my dreams that it could be a dream sign.



I kept looking around. The simplicity of the current landscape allowed me to stabilize my dream easily. Then, I started to feel hear and there, activating my sense of touch all over my dream body. When it was good enough, I took some deep breaths, and listened to the sounds around me. I could hear the wind blowing steadily, and the distance chirping of a bird. The sky was blue, with a few clouds, but there was no sun, or any kind of source of illumination, for that matter. This only reinforced my lucidity. I started chanting under my breath, saying "This is a dream." over and over again. I find that this helps me keep my lucidity for long periods of time.
BOOM!! A resounding explosion. A blast of fire and smoke issued in an instant on my right side. There was something there. I looked there, and recoiled in horror.
There was an abnormally huge monster to my right, some hundred meters away. I was the height of a skyscraper, and was at least the width of four trailer trucks. It was all scaly and dark brown. It had no visible head, just a pair of eyes, a nose, and a huge mouth near it's front. There were numerous thin arms along his sides, and there were huge pores on his skin that were firing hydrogen bombs! It reeked of death and decay, and the stench filled my nostrils. It was making noises which were something like a Tyrannosaurus Rex bellowing. The whole thing was disgusting.



Suddenly, I heard a terrified scream. Crouching nearby was my little cousin, shouting with all his might. It did not occur to me then that it could be his dream. I went to him, and saw that he was very badly scared, and could hardly talk. Then it suddenly hit me. Either I am in his dream, or he is in mine. To tell him from a DC, I tried talking to him.
"Hey, it's all right. It's okay. It's just a dream."
He looked at me with big eyes.
"..........but......I just saw you eaten by that monster, Max."
"No, that was a fake me. This is the real me. You know, this is a dream. Just a freakin' dream."
"Dream?.......Then that means.........it's all not real?"
"No, you are just inside a dream. As soon as you wake up, it will be fine."
"Then..........this thing can't hurt me?"
"No, not in the slightest."
"This is so awesome! I can't believe I was scared to death a moment ago."
"Yeah. But you wait here, I will take care of that monster. Try to feel around a bit, and don't do anything too exciting. You wanna stay in the dream, right?"
"Yeah."
He obeyed, and then felt the grass around him. I had told him of lucid dreams before, and he was doing what I had told him, stabilizing and trying to make the dream clearer.
"What's up with you?!!", screamed someone from behind me.
I turned around. It was Leona. She was wearing a black full body armor, with purple linings on it. She looked extremely hot in it.



"What?"
"Are you blind?!! Can't you see that thing there?!! And you are standing here teaching a nine year-old how to stabilize his dream!! You know, that thing just destroyed my summer apartment!!"
"Whatever. I'll make you a new one soon."
"Well, do something about that thing!"
"Okay, boss." I say sarcastically, and fly off, using the zoom method, near to the head of the monster.
"Hey buddy! I can't have you ruining my dream scape here! Sorry but I will have to kill you!"
I calmed down. Excitement is a dream killer. Focus on defeating him. I summoned my sword, again feeling that rush of power along with it.
BAM!! And hand had grabbed me when I was not looking, and slammed me into a wall. The pain was incredible. I almost woke up from it.
"MAX!!" I heard Leona scream.
She flash stepped to my side, cut of the monster's arm in an instant with her own sword, and freed me. There was an expression of concern on her face.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah......" I said, while coughing up blood.
There was a vigorous movement. The arm that had been slashed was moving. Suddenly, three more arms sprouted out of it. Leona reacted quickly. She grabbed me, and flash stepped to a good distance away.
"No shit. This thing can regenerate. What the HECK does this kid dream about?!"
"He's my cousin."
"Figures."
"Hey MAX!!!" Another voice from behind me. It was one of my classmates and my childhood friend. I shall not mention any names here, for the sake of her privacy.
"Guess what?! I tried FILDing tonight and it worked. My FIRST lucid dream."
Her words took me by surprise. Then, it hit me. ANOTHER shared dreamer? That means, me, my dream guide, and two other dreamers, all in the same dream?
I looked over to my cousin. He was now trying to fly, jumping in the air.
"What's up with you, Max?" says my classmate. "Oh, I forgot, you're just a DC aren't you? Well? How does it feel to be a DC?"
"Hey...............wait........ I am not a DC. This is the real me, I am having a lucid dream as well."
She was totally shocked.
"What THE HELL??!!!"
"Yeah, somehow, you came into my dream. I am lucid now."
"This is sooo COOL!!! My first lucid is a shared!"
She was too excited. She fainted, and slumped to the ground. She was just a beginner, after all. She woke up, after that.
"Oh well. So long for her." says Leona. "Max, it will be very easy for you to share dream if she learns to lucid dream. Her energy signature is very similar to yours."
"Really?"
"Yeah. But we have this THING to take care of, first."
The monster bellowed once more. Taking a lesson from my friend's sacrifice, I stabilized my dream again.
I looked around. My cousin was no longer here, it was just me and Leona. So much for the shared dream.
Whatever. I touched the tattoo on my arm. I underwent the same vampire transformation again. I turned into a vampire, holding my sword in my hands.



I used my wings to fly. I flied at full speed at the monster. Immediately, long, tentacle-like arms came up to counter me. I slashed smoothly at them. They fell to the ground with loud thuds. But then, over more sprang out. The arms were getting more and more hideous.
A violent flash of bright, purple light. The monster screamed in pain. Deep slashes appeared all over his body.
I tried something different that I have been thinking about for a while now. Summing up my energy, I shouted, "BANKAI!!! Espada el Diablo!!" (literally means 'The Devil Sword')
A wave of pure darkness followed my words. My sword began to shake violently, and then, it shattered, like a piece of fragile glass, into a million little fragments. The fragments continued to shatter, until they were no more than shadows. Dense shadows.
They filled the entire space. It was pitch black, but I could still see everything around me.



"Cool. Nice technique. But what the heck does it do?"
Leona was behind me. She had transformed into a vampire, too. She had white wings, pale white skin, the same blood red, cat-like eyes, and claws. She also had fangs, something which I didn't.



"Um......I haven't figured out yet. Hey, Devil J! (short for Devil Jin, the spirit that resides in my sword.) How the fuck do I use this thing?"
"Shut up, asshole! Just use your hands to direct the shadows at the enemy, and see what they do!"
I lifted my hands. The shadows moved like a pointer on a screen directed by the mouse. I moved them over to a tentacle. The swallowed it, and when they moved away, there was absolutely nothing there! I was totally shocked.
"Resets space and time in a certain area to null. Use it wisely."
Awesome! I was so excited. I made the shadows multiply. They grew and grew, and swallowed up half of the monster. It's whole lower body was gone. Wiped out of existence.
"Great, Max. Now here's is my new technique. I have been working on it for a while now."
She touched her own sword's blade. It began to glow. It glowed quite violently. Then, huge flames erupted from it. The grew and joined, twisted and bent, and formed a huge phoenix.



The phoenix screeched. The monster had grown it's body back to normal again, perhaps even larger. The phoenix flapped it's wings, and started to dive towards the monster. It collided with the monster, and liquid flames came out from it. The whole thing dispersed, and the monster was swallowed by an unstoppable mass of flames. It was exceedingly hot.
"Thats not all."
"HUH?! You have something more than that stuff? You GOTTA be kidding me.
I was amazed by all this, finally learning a new power, then seeing that whole blast, and then the news that she had more to go. Too excited, perhaps, because I woke up.

I haven't had a lucid dream after this one yet. I will update my DJ as soon as I get one. I do have many non-lucids, but I don't post them here, only the exciting ones. Please don't forget to rate and comment! And if you see any spelling mistakes, please let me know.

Thanks! It was like a "sorry" for scaring him so bad in a shared dream in which I was lucid and he wasn't. He almost peed his pants. ^_^

Finally got over my dry-spell.

I had this lucid dream after a bit of MILD and WBTB combined. I threw in a little FILD, too. Worked great.
This dream occurred after I had slipped into sleep. My WILD failed, but I got lucid nevertheless.

I was an archeologist. I was researching the Tomb of Tutankhamen. They said that whoever touched a certain stone on the grave died instantly. As this was a life threatening situation, we officials were sent by the FBI to research it for it's potential killing power, so that it could be used in weaponry. We arrived, with big, hunky men patrolling ahead of us as bodyguards. There were a few people with me. I remember seeing my friends dad, but the rest were all unfamiliar.
We walked towards the pyramid. Though it was bare desert all around us, it was extremely cold. We were all wearing fur coats. Something about earth's reversing polarity.
We went inside the pyramid. A group of paparazzi were following us, along with irritating media reporters. I think, "Damn paparazzi. Why are they spoiling my dream? Oh well." And I wave my hand. They disappear into nothingness. I did NOT become lucid. It's just that I have become so much used to LDing that this stuff happens.
I continued my way inside. A foul stench greeted me, something like badly maintained public toilets. I went along a dark passageway that was lit by only flaming torches. I went inside a a stone door. There it was. THE tomb.
The smell was unbelievable. It reeked of death and decay. It was toxic. No shit! We had forgotten oxygen masks! I go outside to get them, but now, I was actually in that period of time. I could see a dozen more pyramids and sculptures. There were people bustling here and there, all wearing nothing but a short cloth around their loins, and the women were wearing those.......things....you see in movies. White, old fashioned gowns with red necklaces.
It was a little weird, but I justified it as movie props. I asked a DC, "Excuse me, but, have you seen my car?"
"Sure. It's round the corner from here." "Thanks."
I went to his directed path. When I arrived, there were just an ice cream stand. Good. I was feeling hot from the running anyways. I ordered an ice cream. The attendant there told me that there was no electricity here in this past world, and that I would need to "contact the authorities". Bummer. :/
I saw a bunch of people walking by. They were talking excitedly, in a language I could not comprehend. Now I began to doubt reality. No way this could be real!
I became lucid. I did an RC, just to be sure. I was dreaming! Awesome! I calmed down. It's good to have a lucid dream after a dry spell, but I can't end it soon. I watched around a bit. There were many pyramids, but most were of sphinxes and Pharaohs. I saw a DC wearing a suit and went up to him.
"Excuse me, but where are the construction grounds?"
"93 Berthingale Street."
"Okay, thanks."
God, my DCs suck at directions. :/
I ripped open the fabric of time and space, creating a portal. It was my first time actually creating one. I jumped inside it, expecting myself to be at the place where pyramids were being built.
I succeeded. I was in a large, open area. There were many pyramids under constructions, and there were numerous slaves going at it. The typical thing you see in movies, you know. There were some leaders that were cracking whips at the slaves, forcing them to do the work. I saw a cart pulling up gold statues pass by me. Wait. I thought Egyptians didn't have the wheel? I ask the DC that, and she replies, "Well, that's the big deception. We use the wheel, but don't tell anyone about it. Insolent little brats."
And she walks away. I laughed to myself, and started to grow wings to fly. I was in the middle of the transformation, when I woke up because of falling from the bed.

Short lucid, but it's not my fault. -_-

That shared dream is pretty interesting. Did you manage to talk to your friend and cousin to see if they have the same dream without telling them, of course for confirmation purposes?

Yeah, I did. Since my friend was clearly lucid in her own dream, I didn't have to ask her, but I did anyways. And I asked my cousin too, when he woke up. Both matched my experience!

Good job on your ToTY!!!!

I finally broke my dry spell too. I was recalling 2-3 dreams a night (or at least fragments) for a long time, which is good, and tonight I had two lucids, a short lucid that ended the dream and a second lucid chained with DEILD. I remembered the ToTY but I had other personal goals that I accomplished as well. In about 12 hours I will post it I have to go now.
