      Talking to recall.

I've been trying to find alternate ways to recall, just for fun ya know. I will normally wake up so to speak but still be in a dream state where I can recall everything vividly if I don't move myself too much to fall out of that state. But to help with recalling my dreams, instead of writing down keywords does anyone feel recording either keywords or talking out the dream into a mic would work well at all? I'm yet to try this but I feel like it could help with recalling more dreams and also fall back into that dream more easily.

I've heard it suggested that that be done. I've never done it, and write my dreams on my computer and I type quickly. But I write slowly, so if I wasn't using the computer that would probably be a good method. It's also probably a bit easier to talk than to write when you've just woken up. And yes, I can imagine describing a dream outloud might reaffirm it in your mind more than writing it would, for some people.

I think that for the purpose of keeping a dream journal, recording it into a mic should be fine. I've seen it suggested around here too.
