      Schoolweek dreamrecall versus hollidays

I don't think I found someone with a similar problem.
      So here's mine:

This month I restarted my lucid projects. I meditated, I took care of my general and bedhealth, ... Thanks to this I'm now able to remember up to 3 dreams per night. Which was also my maximum before my lucid pause.

The reason I took a lucid pause is, that during school, I get up at a set hour. Therefore, or I think it's because of that, I can't recall my dreams at all. Even in the weekends I was struggling to even remember a single dream. I fear I can only focus on my lucid aspirations during vacations.

Is this common or am I an exception, and more important: I fear that next month, when school opens, I'll have the same issue. Is there anyone who might know how to solve this problem?

I think it's the opposite for me. I tend to be able to recall my dreams better during school, because I'm not staying up until 2:00 and messing up my REM. I don't have an answer, but I can say not to worry about it; the more you stress out about possibly being unable to LD or recall, the worse your recall will actually get.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

If you are having trouble recalling dreams on school days then you should examine how you are waking up. If you use an alarm that startles you it can kill recall. Try to get enough sleep that you can wake up before your alarm.

This is good advice. Although, setting an alarm may have its upsides. I have my alarm set for 7:00 every weekday, and 11:00 on weekends. Since I'm so used to hearing the loud alarm go off at 7:00 and 11:00, my body has gotten used to waking up half an hour before they go off, so not to be startled by the noise. In this half hour, I can recall my dreams and just relax in bed until the alarm actually goes off.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant. You just need to get enough sleep that your body can wake up on it's own.

Agreed. I am tempted to stay up late on vacation, and am normally worn out from school work so my body falls asleep easily. This also helps immensely with the free falling technique, as first posted but jeff

      Thanks for all the advice.
I think my problem during school is simply a lack of sleep since I don't change the hour I go to bed and get up a couple of hours earlier each morning.
Luckily my alarm has never startled me, I tend to wake up a couple of minutes before it goes off and dig deeply into my dream memory, even though I hardly ever find something.
Guess I'll go to bed earlier and get up 15 minutes earlier to not be in a haste.
      Everything's gonna be everything...
      Sit back and groove
