My recall isn't getting much better

After getting back into LD'ing, I've been keeping a dream journal for about two months. The problem is, my recall at the moment isn't a whole lot better than when I started. Each dream I remember is usually a quarter of an A4 page or less, and only about 2 or 3 dreams have taken up a full page. When I lie still after waking up, details of the last dream I had will come into my mind, but it's usually not much. I concentrate really hard, but don't remember much. I sometimes do WBTBs, but they haven't helped much either. I've tried vitamin B6, but it didn't do anything. Any advice?

Sometimes it's better to not try and concentrate on remembering a dream upon wakening, I find the best thing to do is lie down and just relax. Let your mind phase back into that "I'm going to go back to sleep" mindset without fully letting go of your grip on staying awake. Meditate, if you can. Yoda, i am.

I find that if I wake up in the middle of the night and try to remember details of a dream, or write in my dream journal, it can take up to an hour to fall asleep again. I don't know why.

Are you holding the intention to remember steady in your mind as you fall asleep and not letting your thoughts drift? I also recommend meditation. It helps you to clear and focus your mind.
