How to notice when you wake up after a dream?

Hey peeps! So I managed to mantra myself into waking up at 4AM last night. I'm not sure if this would work after each dream? If not, is there a way I can alert myself after each dream? Obviously there would be no specific time each dream ends so I couldn't use an alarm (and I can't anyway because I share my house). Would the mantra work by itself? If I was too say something like "After each dream I will wake up and realise it." Just looking to see if anyone has any extra tips on this. Thanks in advance! P.S. It was hard to know where to put this thread, but I want to wake up to record each dream, so I thought it should go here.

Mantra should work, plus the more you will get into dreaming, the more aware you will be of when dream ends, so it will get easier to do with some practice. One method i heard about though, but haven't used personally, is to drink water before bed to wake up in the middle of sleep to go to the bathroom, but it's not guaranteed to be at the end of the dream/REM Cycle as far as i know.

Ah. Thanks for that, Managed to record a dream that I accidentally had last night, woke up and fell asleep. XD It was weird my friend told me to shut up for no reason LOL. But whatever. XD
