      Waking Up After Every Dream

Hey everybody. I have a problem... the only time I remember my dreams is in the morning when I wake up directly out of a dream. Which is causing me to recall 0-1 dreams a night. If I'm lucky I wake up right out of my dream. But I want to train myself to wake up right after every dream. Or during it. So I'll remember more of them. I've tried telling myself that i'm going to wake up and remember all of my dreams before i go to sleep. But it hasn't really been working that well. If anybody has any other techniques or tips it would be appreciated. I'm also a very deep sleeper if that matters.

Wouldn't you be really tired waking up like 10 times a night? :S

Well in that case, obtaining lucidity in every dream would be important, so you could wake yourself up (try to open your eyes - really focus on doing it, and they will open) Otherwise, I'm not sure how you could train yourself to wake up. The key would be when getting lucid to have some fun, but remember to wake yourself up at some time, and do a WBTB. I'm no pro, but I'd try something like that.

autosuggestion. keep repeating to yourself as you fall asleep something along the lines of "I will wake up as soon as my dream ends" or "if I have a vivid dream, I will wake up directly after" or whatever you choose to say.

Doing the above technique helped me learn wake up enough after EVERY dream to do a little dream journaling.

To make it all happen faster I repeated "I will wake after every dream" the whole time every time I went to the bathroom, while I got ready for bed, and then again for several minutes as I fell asleep. It worked faster than I thought it would -- within about 2 weeks I was automatically waking after each dream.

      Good luck!

Simply knowing you're about to wake up will get you there. I'm used to having to wake myself up during false awakenings (hate them). It's like walking out of a room; there's no problem doing it. Just walk out of the room. If you succeed, you'll know what I mean.

If your having trouble with that i would highly recomend auto suggestion which has already been stated, this works well for me. Drinking alot of water can also help waking from dreams after they occur.
If worst comes to worst, this technique i suggest only using if you absoluetly have to and even if used dont use it everynight repetedly or you will get little sleep.
You can set your alarm so you wake up suring your REM periods, but this again will take timing and will have you drained the next day if you use it multiple times through the night
      Hope i helped
