      Exclamation Lucid,but no DS...

      Hey,
This is a weird thing, not sure why it happens but I never do a reality check in a dream...
It's like, all of a sudden I realise I'm dreaming, and the strange thing is, I'm quite certain of it...
I do reality checks during the day(including looking at my hands and pinching my nose)but never in my dream...
Are DS(s) something I need to do?
      Thanks,
      Sam

Dream signs are only effective when the person is aware enough to take notice of them.

Usually when people become lucid, it's just through sudden awareness, and they only use the reality check(s) to confirm it. Reality checks themselves don't normally induce lucidity.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

My only lucid I had, I started the dream already being lucid. It wasn't a WILD or anything special. It was a dream, in which I already found myself being aware.

I find this happens only when I dream about being lucid, but I always need a dream sign/reality check.

I never become lucid from reality checks either, I just suddenly realize that I'm dreaming from seeing something strange.

I always become lucid because of a sudden awareness that I'm dreaming, using RCs only to back this fact up.
