of course I meant exaggerated ones! Like when they use a bunch of made-up hillbilly words. A good-lookin Southern guy with a drawl is sexy, but as long as he didn't act redneck to match the accent, lol

Bah, enough of the posh british southerners. Up north, we do things differently

Am i the only one with a northern british accent, if you can say that, maybe its slightly mancunian, don't know though.

I'm further north than even Manchester. As far as I'm concerned, Manchester is in the south.

Don't think that all of southern England is posh. We have some bad accents down here. And don't ask me to imitate them because:

1. I'm terrible at accents.

2. I want to preserve my shred of DreamViews dignity.

Yeah Carou, i think i have more of a Yorkshire accent, i couldn't grasp which one it was, my mum has a very strong Yorkshire accent so its no surprise its slightly rubbed off on me.

Both my parents are mancunian, but I have developed my own uber posh english accent which is neither southern nor northern. And with this I am well pleased.

I try to aim for the stereotypical "British guy accent"

BTW, English accents on girls annoy me. I'm not sure why.

If we do, I want to hear it! I think English accent on girls is sexy.

Well then maybe you'd like MY fake english accent. Because every time I try to do an english accent I have this strange, irresistible urge to say things like "Ahoy, matey!" But that's a typical pirate thing, not an english thing...so it's really bizarre. But it's anything but a typical english accent

Heh. That's how we Americans feel when our accents are impersonated.

actually there's a burger king commercial on the radio right now, at least in chicago, that involves an absolutely hideous fake french accent. Of course, that's in keeping with the whole commercial's absolutely hideous tone.

I've heard fake French accents. In fact I used to do them myself, impersonating French chefs. I wouldn't do it around French speakers though.
