Here ya go, lagunagirl!
Crap! I typed out almost all of it, and accidentally closed the tab...
Okay... Again...
I woke up early, left, got breakfast at a McDonald's, and we drove through Illinois, and got into Indiana. It got dark at about 4:30, about half way through Indiana. I fell asleep when we were almost out of Indiana, and had an upsetting dream (In DJ now!) I woke up just outside of Toledo, Ohio. It was late, so we decided to stop in Akron, and get a hotel.
Our hotel was horrible, now I'm no stranger to shitty hotels, and this hasn't taken the cake, but it's close. When walking in, you are greeted with the smell of urine and cigarettes. The bathroom door couldn't close, which was gross since I had the hotel room door open too, to air it out. And the sheets were a tapestry of love stains, cigarette burns, and God knows what else. So I slept on top of the comforter and everything in my sweatshirt.
I woke up many times during the night, and got a total of three hours of sleep... When I decided to get up and stay up, I looked into the shower... I decided I'd feel cleaner not going into that thing...
We arrived in D.C. about 400 miles later, near darkness. We checked into the hotel, and I took a shower. We drove around D.C. looking at things, but not visiting yet.
The next day, I woke up early and got breakfast, we went to the Museum of Natural History first, and then the National Museum of Art. We ate at the National Museum of Art, and went to the National Museum of American Indians. After this, we got on the subway, and headed back.
At the hotel, we went to a little restaurant near the parking lot, and inside I found the oddest of restaurants. It was a Mexican-Chinese decorated building, (as in, lanterns and Spanish posters.) that served Chinese and Italian food... I went with Chinese, which wasn't very good (big surprise.)
The next day, we didn't go to any museums, we got a late start, and the crowds were overwhelming, we went to the monument, the memorials, the Reflecting Pond, and then the Smithsonian Castle.
We headed home, when we hit Indiana, we got a large amount of snow... At a few points, we couldn't see the road.
Sorry for the crappy description, I typed almost all of it out already, and don't feel like doing it again. I'll maybe add more later.
