James' Dream Progression

well, this is my new workbook. to start it off, i actually have a dream to type in it (fragment). Playing Tetris this one is just a fragment. im in a room, it looks like a hotel room, and im next to a desk. theres a Nintendo DS sitting there on top of it. i pick it up, and for some reason try to insert a CD into it. it rejects the CD, and i try to put an actual game in it. but the DS messes up and plays the CD i just took out. it shows the title screen for Tetris, it looked like the demo i have on my phone.

this one starts out in this room, it has this panel im looking at. theres some sort of contraption with a bomb in it in the next room. its really hard to describe. anyway, i hit a button, and it turns off, i think it was mine. i leave, and go down this hallway, it gets a little fuzzy here, i think i talk to someone, and i start running for the door ahead of me. i almost run right into an old teacher of mine, i side step past him, and he says something like "nice side dodge" or something like that and runs past me. i'm then inside a diner of sorts, i get called over by this old man, i don't remember looking at him. i was tying my shoe or something. anyway, the old man was lecturing me on running near other people, saying i almost hurt this old woman. i say "ok ill be safe" or something like that and leave. i then go sit down next to two people i think i know from school. there was a lot of people from school in this dream. the people next to me were dudes, i never looked at them, but i think they were pretending to be gay or something, i don't know why. anyway, then i move tables, and a friend walks in and sits at a chair near mine. she's about to ask me something so i get my cell phone out, predetermining her question. but she doesn't want the cell phone, she wants my shoes lol. she says something like "lemme see those beautiful shoes...." i look at my shoes, similar to real life, they were my outside shoes, all grass stained and dirty. thats all i remember though.

remembered another from last night. this one is a fragment (obviously). im in a store, and im running or sliding or something down an isle. i then suddenly run into the shelves at the end, and fall over. me and a couple people nearby bust out laughing, i think one was my sister, i get up and try to play it off, like i didn't just knock a bunch of stuff off the shelf. me and a friend then run away, i see a person from school, and i start laughing when she looks at me, like she knew i just ran into the shelf. thats all i remember, it was pretty funny.

Hmm, in the diner bomb dream it really seemed like your shoes were the most important element. I wonder why. So far, it sounds like you do a lot of running in these dreams. That and school....school seems like a universal one--no matter how old you get and how long it's been since you finished, you still have school dreams. Strange.

probably because school is starting in about a month, and i cant wait for summer to end lol

lol this one was funny. im inside this store, i think its home depot because were around these shelves with wood and carpet and other stuff. the floor is wooden at the start, but later it turns into tile. anyway, im with my sister and neighbor, were just standing around, when suddenly either me or K (neighbor) throws a handful of bird seed at each other, starting a big seed fight. i run off and hide behind a shelf. i see him and grab a handful of seeds, then jump out and throw them at him, but i think it misses. he then swings this really long yard stick at me, which i stop and grab right out of his hand, much to the surprise of everyone there. then this dude walks over, and we all run, i think he was the manager or something, coming to yell at us for throwing the seeds. thats all i remember.

this one was strange. im in a bathroom at school, theres several people in it, just standing around for no reason, waiting for something. im in there waiting too, so i just kinda stand there. after a small memory gap, im outside the bathroom, in front of these two sets of double doors, which i have in my school. im kneeling in front of it, my stuff fell out of my backpack. but when i put it in, i couldn't stand up. it was very realistic, the feeling of weight on my legs, like i was trying to dead lift 200 pounds or something. thats all i remember, except i think everything fell out again.

this one is really short. im outside, i don't know where i am IRL, but i was looking at something on the ground. it was like a map of the area, drawn with small white stones or something. then my parents walk out of this house, and ask me how im doing. i say something like "im gettin there...", and they walk over. i think we then start to leave, my stepdad says i need to make that thing again (he actually says a food but i don't remember), and my mom says she'll help, i think. thats all i remember, except looking at a particular stone, and it had a symbol on it, i don't remember it though.

It's good that you're remembering multiple dreams per night. As long as you keep journaling, your recall will get better and your dreams will become more vivid. Btw, the one with throwing seeds was funny. xD

this one is just a fragment. there were these boxes, some had symbols on them, i think that meant they were special or magical. sadly my sister rudely woke me up, and i forgot all of my dreams. i also think my mom was involved in the dream.

i remembered another fragment. all i remember is being in a bathroom, i don't know what kind, i think someone was there with me. sad i can't remember more.

this one starts outside an apartment building, at the bottom near some stairs. me, my sister (i think) and some other people were talking about Ipod's. i was like "yea, they're so easy to get i mean look..." i then precede to pick up a random Ipod Touch off of the ground lol. i wasn't standing, i was laying on something. then the scene turns into my livingroom, im on the couch looking at my new Ipod, and were all still talking. there's people talking behind me, which they shouldn't have if the furniture was in its normal position. i was on the Ipod, looking at new apps to buy, free ones of course, while talking. then, after a small memory gap, everyone's gone and im in my livingroom alone, and all of the lights in that room were off, it was night time. i go into the kitchen, and turn and see my neighbor looking in the window, asking to come in, i think it was snowy outside. for some reason, that was the normal way for him to come over to my house lol. i motioned him to wait, and went upstairs to ask my stepdad if he could come in. when i asked my stepdad, he just started yelling at me about taking the dogs out late, but in the dream i knew he was wrong and defended myself. he continued to yell and be unreasonable (much like the real thing), and said no, my neighbor couldn't come in. i went back downstairs, but my neighbor was gone from the window, i just assumed he knew he couldn't come over.

this one starts out on a bus, not my usual bus, theres people on it that i don't know. as we pull into my old middle school, i remember that i had tons of money in my back pack, so i zip it up quickly. then i see this girl in the seat in front of me, sitting at the window. she was talking to me and my friend. i think she goes to my school, i dont know, she was really pretty. then, after a small memory gap, im standing outside of the bus, and i walk towards what was supposed to be the entrance to the school, it now was some lab tables, and a few scientists. i walked over and asked what they were doing. they were doing research on DNA, they were telling me all this technical stuff, while inserting this white liquid into a clear liquid. when the white stuff hit the clear liquid, it broke up into tiny pieces. im thinking to myself "woah, i had biology last year, what?" one of the scientists, a female (actually i think they were all females) said to me "what didn't you take biology?" and i say "yea, it was last year, i could probably brush up in a few seconds..." (lol apparently i was cocky in my dream ). i think thats all i remember of that one.

totally dont remember this one. my recall has been crap lately because ive been waking up with an alarm. im gonna try and add more time to the first alarm, so i can hopefully remember more. all i remember of this dream is being outside, im with a girl and a boy, we were talking about their mom, how mean she is. we were planning to do something, like sneak out or run away or something. i had this confetti looking stuff in my hands, i had spilled it on the ground and was picking it up. then suddenly their mom came out and we all stopped moving, hoping she wouldn't see us. she didn't and got into this car that looked like the model-T. she drove past and didn't see us. i also remember being in a similar car, with my two companions, i was facing backwards, like in a limo.

So you always have little or no recall when you wake up with an alarm? Why do you think that is?

i always have bad recall when i wake up with an alarm because it tears me out of the dream and ruins my whole memory. and when i give myself extra time before i actually have to get up, i always fall back to sleep! then i actually have to get up, which pretty much sends the dream down the toilet. i mean, this morning i didn't have to wake up with an alarm, and i remembered three dreams! with an alarm, i barely remember a fragment.

this one was pretty cool. it starts out in this creek, its a big creek, maybe 30-40 feet wide, and theres trees and rocks in the middle everywhere, like the creek is running right through a forest. me and a group of a few kids were going down the creek, jumping from one big rock to another, trying not to get wet. im in the lead, and i come across a rock that is flat, and the surface is just below the water. then i get a sudden memory, of coming across the same rock, and discovering that it was covered in water, and being disappointed. i jump onto the rock anyway, and continue down the creek. then theres a stretch of water between me and the shore, lined by a stone dock type structure. if i remember correctly, the creek got a lot wider, opening up into a lake. i run across the stretch of water, coming to the stone walkway, and resting on a broken stone. then i see someone coming up beside me, with a person in his arms. he lays the person in the water, a kid, and says he drowned. i look at the kid and the he releases some air bubbles, i quickly jump and get him out of the water, to try and prevent him from drowning. this was a very strange case of drowning. he was entirely conscious during the drowning, but he couldn't talk or breathe, just look at me with a "help me!" look. i start giving him CPR, and giving him mouth to mouth. it works eventually, i think. it was very weird. thats all i remember.

this one is kinda personal, im not gonna go into much detail. im in the shower, not at home, im in a different bathroom. for some reason im trying an unconventional way to WILD, which im not going into. also i remember someone walking into the bathroom and talking to me.

all i remember is being assigned an important duty, almost a sacred duty.
