      The Bar and The Gameboy
The dream opened in a bar, and I remember asking my dad if I could get a Corona beer after he asked me what I wanted. Obviously I wasn't allowed but I was disappointed anyway when I got a Solo and my dad and brother got alcohol[1]. There was a line of people outside to get in and when the doorman's back turned a guy rushed in. The other people were also pretty upset that he got in and they didn't so all of them rushed in together[2]. They all seemed to look like weirdos and dressed very strangely. Soon enough the next part of this dream was in an unusual lounge room that I didn't recognize. I remember talking about Gameboys with my Dad and Brother and my brother pulls out his old one with Pokemon Gold and Silver. I then took it off of him and decided to play them both, but for some reason my character decided to fight other trainers and a massive brawl ensued (lol). The dream ends there.
[1]: I'm fairly young but I want to try alcohol but my parents are quite opposed to it. This is day residue as similar things have happened.
[2]: This is faulty logic, I had no question on my mind why people were lining up to get into a bar, I just accepted it.

My New Home on The Docks
This dream was set on docks that had small cottages on them made of wood. There was nothing ever inside the houses and they were very run down with only very thin walls made out of wooden planks. They were divided by small pathways and everything was over water like at a dock. I remember it being very dark with the only light coming from mounted torches (medieval style)[1]:. I was looking for my own shack that I had just bought and asked an old man on a chair. He pointed out one and said "I think that's your one". I entered and remembered looking around and thinking, 'This isn't mine'. I went outside to find the old man cacking himself and telling me that it indeed wasn't mine and then pointed out the one that was actually mine[2]. I entered. The dream fades.
[1]: I can't fully explain this setting. It could have possibly came from a game or perhaps from a book. I'm unsure. I do not recognize a similar setting in anything I've experienced in my recent life.
[2]: Faulty logic shows again as I actually thought I'd bought a wooden shack over water.

The only other dream was being in a shop (possibly Target or Kmart) looking for something specific.

      Snowy Cadet Camp
Alright so this was a really strange dream and made little sense. Basically I was at a cadet camp but it was very snowy with wooden cabins here and there.[1] Me and my friend Mike were practicing archery with the other cadets by shooting from behind wooden barricades at a very small target. I felt scared because before each cadet shot they would be yelled at by the commander and yell something in return, and for some reason I had no idea how or what to do when it was my turn.[2] We were nearly shot when someone from the opposite side decided to shoot at the target. We appeared on the other side of the range and my friend asked me 'Do you know the phonetic alphabet from D-Z'[3] obviously somehow sensing my fear for the commander, as if the phonetic alphabet will somehow help. I replied with a yes, but then the commander was replaced by a nicer-looking guy, and my fear vanished.
Next thing I realize is that I wake up inside the dream, still standing, and I remember thinking 'crap, I fell asleep' as if that's possible[4]. Everybody was gone, not bothering to wake me, so I started to make my back. The dream faded.
[1]: I believe this was residue from the setting of one of the levels of Fischer's dream in the movie 'Inception', in which it is set in a snowy mountainous region.
[2]: Me and my friend have talked a lot about his time in the army cadets.
[3]: me and my friends have tried to remember all the phonetic alphabet on occasions because we were bored.
[4]: This has happened before, possible dreamsign?

3 Guys that Were For Some Reason Extremely Scared of Me
It was the same or a similar place as my last dream, and three guys were in a small, floorless cabin cowering before me as I entered. I'm unsure why they were scared of me, who I was or if I was equipped with a weapon. I could have been a monster for all I know. I'm 90% sure I killed them lol. [1]
[1]: I'm unsure of why the content of this dream appeared as it did.

I was also in a war at some point of my sleep, but I couldn't remember.

I only remember one dream fragment.
I was on the computer talking to my friend on MSN messenger and the only line I remember was by her and it said something along the lines of "Charles didn't have the balls to say anything so I ended it'.[1]:
[1]: This I think was in my dream because it's what I want from my friend and also I spend quite a lot of time talking to her on MSN so it was day residue and leaked over into my dream.

You can turn falling asleep in your dreams to your advantage Especially when you practice induction techniques like WILDing... like for me, I practice the first 3 steps a lot (using Seeker's technique, which I will go over later in the course), and sometimes, now, I will fall asleep in a normal dream and it turns lucid It's a dream-WILD They're so much easier than real WILDs!

GOTTA STOP FALLING BACK TO SLEEP DURING RECALL
Awww, it's tough, yeah I almost fell back to sleep during recall, today, too

oooo, a dream-wild, that sounds interesting . i have tried WILD before but I find it quite hard to be comfortable and concentrate. And I'm pretty confident I won't fall asleep anymore.

      Vampire's Lair
In this dream I was in a 30mx30m 'map' with bush off to the side on one edge pf the map were some vampires just hanging around near their 'lair'. I remember creeping around the side of the map behind bushes and readying myself to attack one of them. I had a sharp object but I don't remember what it was. I attacked one of them and remember stabbing one at least 4 times but the bastard wouldn't go down[1]. he knocked me onto my back and fell onto me, driving a serrated pipe into my throat, splattering blood all over a 'screen' [2]. The dream faded.
[1]: This vampire was like Jasper Cullen of Twilight except he had short hair like in 'The Last Airbender. This is because I was watching The Last Airbender and I remember trying to think of who one of the actors was because I'd seen him elsewhere. I figured out he was Jasper.
[2]: This was very 'game-like' and made no sense in reality.

      The Plastic Slide Course Thing
There was a giant course made out of plastic open slides that you would find in a kids playground except they were used to run on and weren't used as actual slides[1]. There was massive green fields and then mountains in the background and I remember everybody trying to follow the slide-course thing to a man that would shoot of two rockets when everybody reached him. The rockets looked like large sparklers and first circled and then shot straight up. Me and my friend Kim[2] just reached him as he set off two. I then talked to my dad and he said he was going somewhere and I wanted him to come with me into a teleporter which would take everyone up to another place but he couldn't because he had some other stuff to do. Oprah was with him [3].
[1]: I have no clue were this idea came from.
[2]: Day residue, I hang out with him sometimes.
[3]: Day residue, I remember watching the News and Oprah was on it.

      Late To Work
I was in the cinemas where I work and I checked my watch and it read 5:34 [1]. I realized that I still had to get home, ready for work, and then get back in time by 6. I absolutely sprinted outside where my mum was waiting in the car outside[2]. I looked into the car and told her I had to be at work in 25 minutes and looking confused she said 'no you don't.' and for some reason I instantly believed her. But then she remembered it was Friday and told me to quickly jump in[3]. I opened the front passenger seat where dad was sitting and, ignoring him, climbed over into the back. All the backseat spots were taken however, so I had to sit next to grandma on the far left, without a seat belt. Mum said 'we won't get caught, don't worry'. I then sat down and just talked to grandma[4] and we were talking about a singer or something. I don't know who the other two passengers in the backseat were though. one may have been my brother.
[1]: Day residue. I usually start work at 6pm, so I check my watch before i leave so I can leave home at 5:40
[2]: Day residue, I'm almost always picked up in that car.
[3]: Day residue. I had work this Friday.
[4]: Day residue. mum told me Grandma was coming up on friday so this transferred over into my dream.
I had a fragment also were I wore a special suit like in a video game and I was jumping up and down really high.

      Mood: Sore throat
Before Bed: Subliminal MP3 and chanted 'I lucid Dream'
Today I couldn't recall any more than one fragment because I had a massively painful throat and had to get something to drink.
      Spare Room
Myself and 8 of my friends (in couples of 4) are in makeshift mattresses on the floor in the spare room in my house. I'm sitting on a chair and I say 'how much does it take to get you to face your boyfriend'. I'm not sure what this means about what my subconcious wants but the girls turned over on their mattresses to face the girl they're with.

      Hi, Newtz.

Nice dreams! Hope your throat feels better tomorrow so it won't disturb your recall again.

(Oh, and btw... Your signature did make me do a RC... lol...)

When I have a recall draught, this is usually what I do for my journal...

      September 25, 2010
No recall. Tried [such and such, insert recall techniques here]. Woke up feeling really happy, so I might have dreamed about romance, or winning the lottery or something fun.

For now, I leave you with something inspiring [usually a youtube link to a song, or something else dream-related].

I found some no-recall entries of mine

      September 20, 2010

All hopes of recall destroyed by an emergency wake-up from work. Crisis averted though!

      September 27, 2010

To be fair, though... I only had 3 hours of sleep.

Anyways, for the lack of a better post, I will post this lovely end bit of a song from the Beatles Love album... This one is a transition between Eleanor Rigby and I am the Walrus. The transition song is "Julia," one of my absolute most favourite songs ever (and one I have listened to many times before WILDing or just when trying to relax).

Anyways, when I heard this version, with a ghostly overlay of quiet "chattering" and other random sound effects totally reminds me of what my audio hallucinations are like (especially when on G/C). Enjoy!

Review your current sleep schedule. Taking what you know about DILDs and WILDs, which technique would best work for you for inducing lucid dreams?
I'm not the most patient person, and it can take awhile for me to get comfortable and a shift a lot. So WILD probably isn't a very good option. But I can concentrate on one thing quite well, so I'm more suited to MILD with DILD attached.

Sometimes, what I do, is I keep my notes on my phone... I wll drift in an out of sleep as I recall things, write the notes, drift back into sleep... wake up a bit to write more...

It's really odd, but it works

      Also...

All four assignments are now posted! If you would like to receive completion for the course, they must be completed in full by October 8, 2010!

Assignment: Think of 2-3 goals that you would like to accomplish. They could be anything! If you need some inspiration, check out some tasks from the Task of the Month forum. How would you attempt each goal?
So I basically want to try two easier goals and then a really harder more long-term goal.
My first goal is to Lucid dream. Nice and simple I know , but it may actually take some time but it's as simple as you get.
My second is to have a decent amount of control in a lucid dream and to keep it lasting until the REM finishes. This might take a few tries but I hope I get there soon .
My third and more harder and awesomer goals is to manipulate the elements: fire, earth, water, air. I think this might take awhile, considering the imagination and control involved, but it's a worthy goal.

Let me find you a list of things you can try, which will help you practice with control... they are quite easy for beginners

      - Look at your hands
      - Fly or float
      - Go through glass
      - Go through a solid object, such as a wall
      - Change the light level
      - Look in a mirror
      - Look under your bed or in your closet

This is true! But I find it a lot easier to get lucid when I have a specific goal to focus on, so I was sort of hoping these would help
