When I first saw this awesome movie, I was 2. Yes, 2.
I was scared shitless. Then, when I was 5, I watched it again. I loved it.
Ever since, I've watched it like 5-10 times.

Anyway, I wanted to ask if anybody else has seen this awesome movie that is soon to be re-released in 3d (with those blue/red glasses, you know?) (I am so going to watch that)

Yeah, it's a great movie. Wasn't that other movie, the corpse bride (or something like that) created by the same people? Does anyone who's seen it think it's worth watching?

I've seen the Corpse Bride for 2 reasons: 1) Johnny Depp. No, I'm not a fangirl. I just think his movies always rock.
2) It's Nightmare before Christmas style.

Yes, it was somewhat disappointing. Same style, also a musical-ish movie, but still, it was a bit disappointing. I had high expectations, it being from Tim Burton (Nightmare Before Christmas dude) and all that, but meh.

Still, if you like Nightmare, you should watch it. ^_^

I'm 16 and that film still scares the shit outta me, and I haven't even seen it!
Lord of the Rings quotes:

"Behold, I am not Gandalf the Grey, whom you betrayed. I am Gandalf the White, who has returned from death. You have no colour now, and I cast you from the order and from the Council." - Gandalf to Saruman, The Two Towers

"Men of Gondor and Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails... when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship... but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when all hope comes crashing down, but it is NOT this day! This day, we fight! For all that you hold dear, stand, Men of the West! - Aragorn

"Far off yet is his doom, and not by the hand of man will he fall." - Glorfindel

"in Rivendell there live still some of his chief foes: the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power." - Gandalf

I've seen The Nightmare Before Christmas so many times that I've got all the songs memorized - and there's like 15 songs in that movie.

I saw it sometime last year. It seems like a kids movie looking at the style and the christmas/ halloween/ musical theme, but it scares the shit out of all the kids that watch it. Doesn't make a lot of sense.

I've never heard of it, although I've heard (and seen part of) Corpse Bride, which looked to have a very interesting style if you asked me. I don't have instant access to movies though and it wouldn't be my first choice.

Haha, I know most of the songs (from the top off my head), but especially the "What's This?", "This is Halloween" (haha, no pun intended) and the What Happened to Jack song.

It does have a very interesting style. The nightmare before christmas is the movie that originally came up with this style. ^^

What's this? What's this?
There's color everywhere
What's this?
There's white things in the air
What's this?
I can't believe my eyes
I must be dreaming
Wake up, Jack, this isn't fair
What's this?

What's this? What's this?
There's something very wrong
What's this?
There's people singing songs

Couldn't be bothered to do anymore.

Lol, I remember one time when I was younger I asked my parents to rent it because it looked cool they were like "Ooo that looks scary, I'll guess I'll rent it but you are going to have nightmares if you watch it..." so we rent the movie and I never watched it. Finally the thought of it came to me and I saw the whole movie on yourtube even thought it was in Japanese, but I got the jest of it. I thought the movie was okay, it seemed to go really fast because most of the movie is songs and not actual story lines , but I really liked the songs. Btw it’s not scary, it’s just the way the animation is done that makes the characters seem kind of a jerky movement.

Nah, it doesn't ruin it, it's just that the atmosphere in the movie is (for me) experienced a lot .. more vivid (I dunno how to explain it ) when seeing it at Christmas.

But the feeling you get when watching the movie at Krimbo, is drained if you watch it during the year (at least for me anyways).

(CHRISTMAS!!!!! :yumdumdoodledum: ) - sorry needed to vent some feelings.
