Thread: The Animorphs

I remember watching it a few times with my younger brother.. It was sort of creepy... people being mind controlled by little slugs and such.

When I saw this title, how did I know it would be you Andrew? Lol, figured I'd comment on this. Haven't seen the show as i mentioned earlier, don't really plan on it.

I think I saw like 1 episode. I've read a lot of the books though.

All I remember is the books. I remember that you flip the page really fast and see the person transform into an animal on the bottom of the page. It was like a flipbook

I read a few of the books. It was OK but slooow.

I had like all of the books and then there was a series by the same author that focused on the trials of the alien that gave the animorphs their powers before he actually did that. I remember it was probably the trippiest book I've ever read, in fact, I think, despite the intended audience, a lot of you would enjoy it. Towards the end he becomes omnipotent and is basically in a race to prevent universal destruction or a totalitarian reign. I just remember it was pretty awesome.

I remember the tv program. There was a rule in it where you couldn't stay an animal for more than an hour and one of the guys did so and became a hawk for ever. Sucks to be him.

Yeah I just remembered that when I read it! Crazy stuff...

I read the entire series and own nearly every one of the books. They were great back in the day.

I read part of a book... I think those slugs were called "Yeerks"

And there was there was blue alien guy - Ax the Andalite or something like that.

I loved those books. Saw a few episodes as well.

I was reading up the summary of the rest of the series on Wikipedia. Apparently Applegate didn't even write a lot of the books.

I used to be all over those books. I stuck with the series until book 20 somthing and lost interest because I realised that basiacally the same thing kept happening in every book.

As for the TV show on Nick, that was as though a show form 1993 somehow got trapped in a timewarp and never aired until 1999 or whenever it first came out.

Also, the "lasers" were just flashlights.

Oh my god, Animorphs! Ah, I remember the books well...*feels nostalgic* Never saw the TV show, though.

Yeah, not the TV show, but I definitely remember reading a lot of the books at my school's library in middle school. It was a really interesting concept, and I don't know where I left off... Probably somewhere around #30.

I just remember watching the TV show and there was a guy named Tobia (I think) who was a hawk and slugs that would control people by going into their head.
