Thread: Transformers

I can't wait to see this one. I have pretty high expectations for it. Let's hope it's not a piece of crap like spiderman 3 was .

I have not looked forward to a movie for a long time before this one actually.

Can't wait.

Damn, that preview was pretty sweet.

Sucks though, because I actually never watched transformers. I don't think they ever played it in Brazil when I was growing up. Still, the movie looks pretty badass... I like how the machine jumped up, changed into an airplane, and started flying away.

Should be interesting watching this movie and being one of the very few people that doesn't really know the storyline. hehe.

Aye, that's basically how they transformed when in a hurry in the cartoons - jump up, transform into a vehicle, and on the way.

Though I'm not liking the feeling the concept of the movie seems to relay according to the trailers. As if the transformers are going to be shown as some beast-like machines that aren't highly intelligent like humans, as they were in the cartoons.

It may appear that way, because they are really just showing action in the trailers, but considering the voice talent they have signing on for the Transformers - Keith David (Goliath from Gargoyles), Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith) and Peter Cullen (the Original Optimus Prime), I don't think they will disappoint, too much.

I'm definately gonna go and see this, looks awesome!

Looks good, but I don't want to get my hopes up, alot of these types of films have lost their "touch" after been converted to the big screen. Stills looks pretty awesome though.

And who is that boy? I've seen him in alot of things before.

I do have a lot of faith in Michael Bay, though. (The director.) He's got a damn good track record. Hopefully he won't let me down on this one, though.

And the boy is Shia Lebouf. He was in (among other things) Constantine, Disturbia, Holes and I, Robot.

True and with Spielberg helping, it can't go wrong. Wow that Shia has been in some pretty good films, if he keeps it up he's going to have one hell of a career in front of him.

I cannot wait. I really like the new more up to date Autobots and Decepticons. I think they've done a great job with making them much more relateable for this day and time. Soundwave which was by far my favorite is now an IPod. There are a lot of Big Ass Robots in this Movie for sure. This has been a long awaited movie. Hell as far as I'm concerned the story can steer so far away from the cartoon I wouldn't even care as long as I get to see Big Ass Robots transforming on a Big Ass Screen. I think Bumblebee is going to take everyones sensitive side and may pose as the main character of all the other robots. Okay guys so here is the line up.

Autobots

I think it's obvious but: Cybertronian Spaceship > Peterbilt Truck.
Megatron was the best but I liked him more in Beast Wars, that is, the second Megatron. I wonder if the one in the movie will be the same, or supposedly the original, or perhaps a third on top of the two?

Didn't the Decepticon symbol used to be the autobot symbol but upside down. I could've sworn it was.
