Cirque du soleil?

A friend got me hooked on Cirque du soleil. the acts are really cool and the music is just amazing. so i was just wondering who out there has heard of it and stuff and what you think... if you want to see some stuff go to like youtube or google it! just amazing stuff!

I love Cirque du Soleil. I used to watch it on tv, as often as I could catch it, and saw it live at Epcot once. Awesome stuff.

Cirque du Soleil is awesome and the music truly hypnotic. I saw it live and it was a pretty intimate venue so I got to see the acts up close (which made them even more impressive).

Cirque du soleil??? u guys know about that... i got it was popular only in Quebec... i live there (in Quebec) and my sister went to that like 3 times (it was some school activity)... personally i never went there! hm...maybe i should go next time

I have yet to be fortunate enough to see a Cirque De Solei show, however, I have seen some 'imitations' out there that where really great. I can't imagine how much better Cirque would be, but I'd like to find out someday. The most 'professional' of the type of performance art/dance that I saw was this one Momix. There was this other local dance group that I can't remember the name of right now, but I do recommend checking out any local groups in your area. Not only are they cheaper to see, but many times just as impressive.

I also live in Québec, where de Cirque du Soleil comes from. I have never had the privilege of seeing them live, but what I have seen from them so far was amazing. I even got to see a few members perform a small show at my old school. Their history is quite interesting too, they started out with next to nothing, gambled it all and made it big. I'm glad they are gathering such an international audience .

I grew up in Montreal, and a friend of mine's parents were on the organization committee or something like that. In short, I got free tickets once or twice. It's an amazing show, with some very creative acts. Though it's best to see it late in its running season rather than early, cause the cast has gotten used to performing the routines and there's less mistakes.

...yea she has me hooked and she has most of the shows on dvd... or the most of the ones that were released on dvd. cant remember. but i watched alegria with her and wow they are just amazing. ... but i have to agree with her the acts are pretty cool but its more about the music one they are very emotional and tell stories two they sound so cool three music is my life four really great yea so i kinda went and got all the soundtracks and WOW its just so great... when i get the money i am going with my friend to see one of the shows live. one show that i really want to see is the new one that is going to be at the luxor hotel in vegas .. Cirque du soleil has teamed up with chris angel (the magician/illusionist) for a magic theamed show and i like chris angels stuff it just so cool... lmao and one thing thats funny is i have a decent car stereo system and i get some pretty funny looks when i play the music full blast driving down town... i love it ha ha
