It made me (more) suspicious that more about the show is scripted than is already apparent.

Notice that her initial reply to Jason's "second" song was completely opposite of what she thought of David's (which she tried to save herself by saying "Oh, I was really talking to him"), yet was identical to what she ended up thinking of Jason's second song, when he actually did sing it.

yeah true... weird.

I'm sure some of it is scripted - I mean, the judges are really the ones picking the winners. The public is going to vote for the ones the judges give good feedback to. Unless you're Sanjaya, then people will "vote for the worst"

Or they'll vote for general fan-girl appeal like Jason. But yeah Simon in particular tends to pick the winners.

Personally, I think Brooke was better than Jason, too. He has a certain appeal, but I think he got too far through the contest, on that alone.

And Randy was 100% wrong about Syesha's second performance. I love Sam Cooke, and I love that song, and she did an excellent job on it.

I was trying to find a clip of Syesha's singing of "A Change Is Gonna Come," but it was taken off of youtube. I'm actually surprised that Simon didn't agree with Randy, because he's been pretty hard on her, and I wonder if he didn't just because she started crying.

Guys, just go to rickey.org for all the videos. No youtube-age necessary, and the guy is like a freak who updates the thing seconds after each performance!!

Poor Jason.

It made me sad to watch his journey video thing. He used to be good, man...
