I know its good, I used to have it before I lost it, Now I can't seem to find a metal gear solid original that isn't scratched or broken,

You actually play MGS1 for a moment in MGS4, its a cool flashback. The only thing that bugs me about mgs1, is that you cannot aim the gun in first person, or at all really, the aiming sucked, but the game was great.

mgs2 took care of the aiming issue, and mgs3 made it even better, and now 4 made it amazing!

I feel like spending a nice long weekend playing mgs2 3 and then 4,, if I can find mgs1, i would but I'm not going through ebay.

cigarettes help, but lower health...getting out of battle lowers stress, and so does a compress on snakes lower back, his old back gets creaky and needs a compress.

What I usually do is get my psyche up with food and then smoke cigs until half health and the stress goes down alot, then i let my health go back up and smoke more to lower the stress, mainly though stay away from combat to make him relax.

Also, don't stay crouched too long, standing or prone are the best positions for low stress.

I'm nearly done with the game, im up to
Spoiler for blah:
and he's one tough mother to kill, he just won't die!, godamn nanomachines!...I'm sure ill find a way to kill his persistent ass.

Yea i found that on the mgs4 forums, the hard part is that split screen battle with gekko's though, i can't see shit with that split screen stuff, who the hell has the time to watch those 2 fight when your being shot at by 20 foot tall mini-metal gears?

I can't get past that part yet, the split screen was annoying me, but still its a wonderful game.
I loved how they made you play the first like segment of metal gear 1 to continue a cut-scene

This is honestly one of the best games I've ever played. It's so damn epic, it's amazing. The whole feeling is this incredible cinematic experience with a complex and deep storyline and tons of side stories.

Yup, Once I get my hdtv im going to replay it in hard mode, im up to act 5, i thought there were only 4 acts lol.... I was at the end of shadow moses expecting some kind of final battle with liquid and the sucker took off, now im fighting screaming mantis...which is damn near impossible to beat.

Great game though, I wish it were longer, ive played since friday last week, 6 days so far and im nearly done...too short?

Maybe im just really good at mgs games?

I feel like replaying mgs 2 and 3 again now heh

Just to like refresh my memory on the storyline

This game is amazing. Unfortunately, I'm just god awful at anything stealth, so I have to attempt each level at least 10 times before I complete it.

It's brilliant.

lol what's so hard about stealth? You just hug the floor and move slowly at 70-100% camo index and nobody will see a thing, aside from those little black tripod things with laser sensors, those little guys were annoying to kill, I recomend using the grenade launcher to snuff those guys out.

And as for the Gekko's, use the rail gun.

I always loved the stealthiness of the series, its not always neccessary to be stealth, you can blatantly trudge through the game without stealth and still beat the game but, what fun is that?

I take my time exploring every room and air duct and all of that fun.

I beat it in like two and a half days. I went at it pretty hardcore, since I just got out for summer, but my friends are still finishing up exams. I found the game really easy up until the last two acts, then it started to get a bit tricky. I wish I had done it on the hardest mode the first time around, but oh well. I'm going to go back and do it on the hardest mode now.

Oh, did anyone else buy the lead ball gun thing that costs like one million DP's? I didn't buy it, I'm kind of wondering what the point of it is, is it just to say that you got it or what?

It's like a world war 1 weapon, for novelty..you can also buy the infinite ammo bandana for 5 million. or you can beat the game with 0 kills, id rather rack up 5 mil honestly lol.

It took 6 days for me to beat it on below normal, like easy-norm, but not very easy...I need to go through it again in norm or hard this time around, it was almost too easy...well stupid me chose the easier option lol...

The ending really shocked me to be honest, sorta.

Yeah, the ending was really good though. This has like the best storyline I've ever seen in a game, and better then most movies. What I really enjoyed, was that I didn't find it horribly predictable like most games are. The story is really involving, and I actually felt worried about some of the characters and whatnot.

Not sure about the 100k thing but, beat the game like 50 times and you'll have millions of drebin cash lol...or you can beat the game without getting ONE alert, to get the stealth camo that is.

Oh yea, the storyline definately drew me in too, all of the story does, since metal gear solid 1 (ps1)

Spoiler for Stuff:

for the first time ever, a videogame touched me emotionally and made me cry, well all of the metal gears brought tears at certain moments.

I especially cried when otacon cries, he looks so real and so sad looking, it was contagious
