      The video doesn't show, but I saw her audition a few days ago.

      She was great
      It's terrible the looks she got from some people, glad she showed them all. Maybe they'll realize you really shouldn't judge a book by it's cover..

      Susan Boyle is like my new BFF.

      I don't even watch shows like that but just because she kicked so much shallow ass (who is really still shallow for thinking she redeemed herself simply because she can hit a pitch by expelling air from her body) I'm an instant fan and may have to start.

      Am I the only one who doesn't like her voice? She sounds like someone from a Disney movie, which is a style I don't appreciate. Shrug.

      I'm glad she showed me, I started watching the video when someone sent it to me expecting another William Hung or something, just something terribly awful.... And then I was blown away. Maybe it's the shrooms talking, but I feel like I learned a valuable lesson.

      My hubby is a huge podcast follower and heard about this right after it happened (one of the judges is married to a guy he listens to or something). He sent me the link and I was MOST impressed.
      She had a hard time reaching some of the notes, but did and the looks of astonishment were very rewarding.
      I'm glad Simon's taking up her cause. He's a HARD person to win over lol

      I think I already discussed this.

      I think (as a show fueled by audience just like American Idol, or just as any show goes for views) that they are focusing on Susan Boyle because she's cute. She's a 47 year old whose never been kissed, and she's very dorky.

      That being said, her voice is good. But it's not like.. AMAZING.

      I mean, everyone's going to be like.. "No, Amaze! You're wrong! She's got a beautiful voice! It makes me so invigorated with passion and love and blablablabalhb lbalh..."

      Her voice is good, there's no doubting that. But her talking voice is a bit off, and about halfway through the song you can start to hear it through her singing, and she stops being able to hit the notes.

      I mean, for Christ's sake I didn't expect that voice at all, but it's not that amazing. I didn't shit my pants.

      No I agree with you Amaze... It's a really good voice, but I've heard better, that's all.

      Those preppy girls they showed in the audience smirking at her before she started singing piss me off. I'm so glad she showed them.

      It was a nice voice, I couldn't hear it that well though on the various recordings I've seen. I hope she does well.
