Craig Armstrong - Balcony Scene (from Romeo and Juliet) <-- lovely simple tune
Craig Armstrong - This Love (from Cruel Intentions) <-- this is played when Seb dies This tune doesnt really make me feel too sad but it's still a beautiful piece.

I recommend everyone to get Craig Armstrongs albums, especially his limited piano works cd.

Just off the top of my head one whole cd i used to play at night when i wanted to cry was - Ben Harper and the innocent criminals, Live from Mars, disc two. Songs like Waiting for an angel, roses from my friends. It’s all acoustic so no crazy guitar leads to distract ya.

Also depends what kind of crying, angry crying maybe songs like - chop suey, system of a down, toxicity

I dunno here’s some that use to make me sad,

Down in a hole - Alice in chains
      Would - Alice in chains
wish you were here - Pink floyd
      comfortably numb - pink floyd
      Hurt - Johnny Cash
Never tears us apart - Inxs
Straight to you - Nick Cave
Like a hurricane - Neil young
November Rain - Guns and roses
      Joga - Bjork
      5 years - Bjork
      Tomorrow Wendy - Concrete Blonde
It’s too late - The streets
Heart of gold - Neil young
      Old man - Neil Young
      Noose - Perfect circle
      Out of habit- Ani deFranco
      Bliss - Tori Amos

The last two are New Zealand artists worth checking out

      Little things - Trinity Roots
      Remember - P money

Oh the list could go on but it’s actually kind of depressing trying to think of sad songs.

      Peace Sensi.

      Hey Truthbearer,

Man you just reminded me of one of the most depressing times of my life. With that track - Round here, Counting Crows. I used to listen to a few of the tracks on that album. I just dug it out. Man music brings back such full on memories. Glad I’ve moved on from that headspace. Thank god for change.

      Peace Sensi.

      THANK YOU!
I was wondering if I was going to be the one to post it, but you beat me to it.
And I'll have to agree for all of Sarah McLachlan's songs...Fallen and Time specifically.

Songs that make A Lost Soul cry:

      My Immortal – Evanescence
Brothers – Michiru Oshima (this one gets me every friggin time)
Something I Can Never Have – Nine Inch Nails
Brick – Ben Folds Five (because I was in a similar situation and let me tell you… that drive home is the longest drive home ever. I can’t listen to this song anymore.)
      Winter – Tori Amos

There’s also some country song that I can’t recall the name of… it’s about a soldier though and I cried when I heard it because all I could think of is my brother and everything we were feeling when he was in Iraq.

“Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.”

:bravo: TB, I got a kick out of that! I suppose it's a good thing not many "celebrities" stick around in Missoula, Montana.

I especially got a kick out of the "Meet Anton Chekov"... I just took Russian lit, so it was funny to me at least. And the bathroom servant at McDonalds.... yes, brilliant.

All of these are great...don't think any of them has made me cry, but they are great nonetheless. Everything would be the closest one of the 3 to drawing tears on me...it is a very emotional one

I know you didn't mean the nirvana version, but since I haven't heard the tori amos version, then I tweaked it a bit to reflect the one I actually have heard. I have to hear this tori amos version...wonder how radically can she change the mood of the song to something that might make me want to cry, or that will be terribly more emotinal
