I guess some forums can be good, then again skyrim isn't like sims, especially considering that skyrim has alot of player who just play to kill and not actually to roleplay, and others just play it to mod the characters to look like final fantasy characters.
If you want brutal forums go on the final fantasy forums, those guys rip each other to pieces comparing all the final fantasys.
I have nearly unlocked all the achievements in binding of isaac :D almost there, it was totally worth it.
Still playing that Mass Effect 3 for the PS3 on the weekends (PSN: Psylis). I started Pokemon Crystal, and I hear infinity blade for the IOS is now free. Once I unbrick my phone, I'm going to play that.
I found Fable 1 at a resale shop for like 2 bucks, so I decided to pick it up. I've been having a lot of fun with it recently.
After some time without anything to play, I re-found Gunz the duel, on a fan-made version that has anti-lead system. This game is sooo addicting. For those who never seen what the game is like:

As you can see, the game combines a mixture of matrix and shooters. It's actually a fast paced shooter, because the speed at which you play is huge. The game is also very very challenging because the uses of glitches (yes you heard me right) created a new style of play, named Korean-style (or k-style). K-styler users (around 95% of gunz population) are the best players due having the biggest speed along with many techniques to perform fast shooting, wall slashing, among many other options. It takes some time to perfect k-style, as it involves using many buttons in a fast pace, compared to actually playing a piano lol. The game is 99% based on pvp, since even though there's a quest mode, all players get their exp (and fun!) by playing vs others. Things you can do that feel amazing:
Run in walls
Ninja-like speed, and you can use katanas, kodachis or even daggers to slash opponents (k-stylers prefer katanas)
Extremely fast paced games, since you can do death matches where jumping into the fray means ull get slashed to death by buterfly users (a technique in which you "dance" while slashing and moving)
All the k-style techniques are 100% player developed, and the company was so surprised (well, they are indeed based on glitches in the game engine) that they didn't make any plans to remove it.
On a different note:
Anyone here finds himself wishing to find a game that takes ages to complete? I really miss a game like that. There's those games with good story, but a short one, or with a long story (imagine pokemon), where longevity isn't really centered in the lore, more like in the "extras". Or maybe it's just me being too picky. I'd love a game to grind that was long because of the actual story, not side perks.
Final Fantasy instantly comes to mind. Then again, if you're into long games you've probably already played most of those... Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals (an SNES game from my childhood) was pretty long, and remains one of favorite games ever.
I think you'll find what you're looking for if you look into some old-school JRPGs, assuming you like those kinds of games.
I am currently in progress of making playthrough videos of Deathtrap Dungeon, pretty underrated old PSX game(playing it through emulator), i would not be surprised if nobody here even heard about it. :ghosttown:
It's pretty fun though. :)
I used to be Dragonborn, like many of you...
...but then my 12-year old daughter accidentally deleted my save file.
Now I don't really play my Skyrim anymore. :(
Presently, though, still playing Battlefield 3, MvC3 and I'll be picking up DMC: Devil May Cry and/or Tomb Raider soon.
I've been playing fallout for the past few weeks and it's just so good, I can't believe how dull skyrim seems in comparison. Although I did just install a mod which turns skyrim into jungle and it's done so unbelievably well that I don't even mind that the fact that random NPC's were trying to convince me of how harsh the weather is.
Fallout 3 at the moment. Fallout 1 was awesome too, not that I could compare them, they are almost entirely different games. I love how they've gone about creating the world and with mods installed fallout 3 just becomes the boss.
Tropical Skyrim -- A Climate Overhaul at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim mods and community
3 days uploaded and 70000 views already, this mod is going somewhere.
Assassins Creed 3 doing all the challenges on first playthrough, only seems challenging because the people in charge of wording the challanges did a horrible job, and have no detail or even word it wrong. For example I was stuck on a challenge that said "Air Musket Assasinate someone, what it really meant was Kill someone with the bayonet of a Rifle Musket.
Then there was a challenge that said you have to " Bait and snare 5 animals." but trickery afoot decrees that you have to set the snare up before baiting it. not baiting and then placing a snare, I could go on listing plenty more but hopefully you got the point.
Heart of the Swarm! The campaign is a big improvement over Wings of Liberty so far, but multiplayer is looking tough for zerg.
Just kicked DMC's ass, last night.
It was awesome. Those who are seriously still crying about the new Dante can suck it. :P
Bout to play it back through on 'Son of Sparda' mode.
Good times.
That's interesting coz it's the only one I've played. Actually I think I played the first one as well, but my computer wasn't very good.
NV was a glitchy, horrible POS on the playstation. Can't believe they thought that was a finished game. I didn't even get past the first 10 minutes
coz the stupid woman and her dog kept running in to each other and stopping and I couldn't follow them coz it was just taking WAYYY to long.
So I just killed them and went and killed heaps of other people and didn't really do any missions.
Went back to playing DayZ the past couple of days. It's finally in Alpha and it's still buggy. People are still playing it PVP/griefing. *sigh*
When I tell them they're faggots they say "it's a sandbox game, you can play however you want".
NO! It is not! It's supposed to be a zombie survival game. Yes you can people but you're supposed to act like you would IRL.
Don't kill unless they're a threat. Team up, make camps, kill zombies and bandits.
Use your imagination!
If you wanna just kill people go play COD, faggots.
Sorry, rant. Just, ugh.... don't buy this game if you wanna survive in a zombie apocalypse.
Borderlands two, I've owned it since the day it came out, but I always started it with someone and never played it with them again and didn't want to play without them.
Anyways Playing as the Siren, just like I did on the first one, shits way fun, so many more enemy types compared to the first.
Fallout 3 is way better than NV. I didn't really like the style or music of NV while I'm obsessed with the style in fallout. It's an absolutely amazing game when you look around a bit. There are little gems hidden everywhere like in one of the sewers you find power armor that speaks to you and every now and then you find computers with diaries in them. Secondly when you mod the game it becomes even better, makes the game harder but also more enjoyable and the amount of weapons and armors some mods add is just insane, not to mention texture packs and lighting mods.
I just got the game don't starve, it's only in bets but it's pretty fun. It is kinda like a wacky survival game but there are absolutely no guides anywhere explaining what to do, you gotta find everything out for yourself. I just found an item called "metal potato thing" and I have no idea what it does and I have been carrying around for like 10 real life hours and I still don't know what to do with it.
I havent played anything for months properly and i wont play anything in the near future neither, but yeah Fallout 3 is really a BADASS game. I played it a few years ago. You can play it for months.
I hope they make Fallout 4 :goodidea:
A recent dream inspired me to dust off my old copy of Valkyrie Profile. Totally underrated PS1 gem, with some hilariously bad english voice acting to boot! Check it out if you haven't already. For real.
Just got the game Fable - The Journey for xbox 360 kinect. Hope it's gonna be good... :)
Dangan Ronpa, never been so hooked in my life. It's like 999 meets Phoenix Wright meets the Hunger Games, keeping me on on the edge of my seat.
