      The Metal

      i did a search for a metal thread, didn't find one... so i figured i'd make one

      discuss all things heavy metal here. i play in a metal band, called autophagist (working on a new name that sounds less like necrophagist ) we don't have any recordings yet... but we're working on it.

      my favourite bands:
      cannibal corpse
      black sabbath
      deicide
      early sepultura
      megadeth
      mastodon
      immortal
      pantera
      the absence
      3 inches of blood

      ...and tons more...

      I've been listening to 3 inches of blood a lot lately. I'm surprised I haven't heard that many people talk about them cause they're so damn good.

      I'm not a big fan of classic metal, but I do listen to some metal. I'm into Folk metal, Melodic Death Metal, Pagan Metal and more shit I can't remember (So much sub categories -_-) Here's a couple of Band I cherish with all my love:

      Sora has a great list there ^^

      On top of those I would add Elvenking, Sonata Arctica and Axenstar. Elvenking being more folk metal and the other two more symphonic. Elvenking is quite possibly my favorite band ever.

      I'll probably go see Ensiferum+Blackguard too =) Will be fuckin' amazing.

      Yeah I used to listen to Sonata Arctica, but I'm kind of bored of Power Metal and their last album was specially gay, imo.

      I think the arcane dominion was awesome
      Dalriada and Ensiferum also are good

      Hell yeah, Helloween is also pretty good =). Mrs.God and Mr.Torture are my favorites.

      And yeah, I have a massive boner each time I think about Wintersun.

      I can't remember the last Album tkdyo, but well they probably released another one since I haven't listened to Sonata for a shitload of time.

      Dethklok anyone? They're one of my favorite band, they're so awesome and the cartoon Metalocalypse is hilarous.
