We discussed this experiment in one of my psychology classes today and I was so impressed that I thought it was worthy of a share. Jane Elliot, a third grade teacher, conducted an experiment with her class, and later with adults, about discrimination. You may be surprised at how quickly a seemingly normal, morally sound person can fall prey to their own natural prejudices. (This may be prudent in light of all the irrational Muslim hate-mongering on the news.)

Is this the blue eyed thing? I think these experiments are one of the greatest reminders of why rationalism is so important. Never ever believe something out of habit or dogma. Only ever believe something because a logical argument or empirical evidence tells you so.
