I don't blindly believe everything from this news network. The legislation, logisitics, equipment, leaked army and police documents including training videos strongly suggest the US government is prepared for massive domestic mayhem.

Lets be honest, any attempt at gun confiscation will fail. There is just way to many guns, they can't possibly get even a fraction of them.
Yes a lot of people are aware about it, but I think they are still a small minority. With regards to the gun issue I can see why the Department of Homeland security has been purchasing a ridiculously enormous amount of high power ammunition. They purchased this year, as part of their stock, 450 million rounds of 10mm caliber hollow point bullets that are designed to expand upon entry and cause maximum organ damage. This ammunition is deadly and designed as 'one shot kill' ammo. To put this into perspective the standard issue assault rifle for the British army, commonly called the SA80, uses a standard tip 5.5mm bullet. Many British soldiers have complained deeply that this weapon is not suitable for long term warfare in Afghanistan as it takes on average 9 rounds to kill a person. The DHS, when questioned by the media as to why they were aquiring such powerful ammunition they said it was for 'immigration control training!!!' As you have pointed out Alric they clearly understand that the populace are well armed and are prepared for this.
