Maybe he would have an easier time if he didn't come off as an arrogant dick, including to a cop who's just trying to do his job. People don't tend to respond very well when you immediately take an adversarial stance.

Answering the question would have made things much simpler. Conyers has still not answered the question. It's a sexist and unfair bill.

It sounds like that's probably true, but I do also agree that it would be much better if he simply asked politely, instead of adopting that kind of combative attitude from the off that just made everybody think he might be dangerous. It makes it look like he wanted to manufacture a scene, rather than making an earnest, measured request for answers.

I think he was really nervous and came off as a little shady because of it. He got even more nervous when Conyers refused to answer the question, which he would have answered immediately if he had an answer.

The arrogance of the woman who worked for Johnson really pissed me off. But it was obvious they had no answer for it and as such had to resort to flexing their corporate muscle. Pretty sad.

He was understandably upset, I think as a politician you should be able to pick up something as obvious as that and just answer the goddamn question.

You mean Conyers? Yeah, it's sad. She works for Johnson Products? What on Earth was some business lady doing being so loyal to John Conyers in the Congress building? That is just scary. It's where our government is.
