loool don't you think it's little stupid ...print guns at home etc.... don't you think that at least material for that would be needed...even if technology would be good.....would you spend your money on buying materials for a 3D printer all the time anyway?

^ I assume the cost of materials would eventually go down to the point where 3D printers become a mainstay in most modern homes. Then again, I don't really know much about this sort of thing.

That's the slope technology usually takes, but it seems 3d printing is so counter-consumerism that I don't know if our usual market channels would let it slide so easily.

Don't worry about the cost. Just buy a 3D printer. Then you can print as many 3D printers as you like.
