I am a member of the Libertarian Party, and I think this might possibly be the year we go mainstream and end the two party stalemate. The Democratic Party candidate is hated by most Americans, and the Republican Party candidate is hated by most Americans. Because of that, a lot of Americans are leaning toward voting for someone other than those two candidates. The only other candidate who will be on all 50 state ballots is Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party candidate. He was the governor of New Mexico for two terms, and he did an excellent job. He is not the ultimate Libertarian candidate, but the need to end the two party system is much bigger and more important than Gary Johnson. For me, this year is not so much about Gary Johnson. It is about the Libertarian Party. However, I think Johnson is by far the best candidate running. |
