      My point was that you can get from point A to point B (whatever was wrong with point A in the first place?) without accellerating to c. But yes, you do give up all little nice effects such as significant time dilation and "time travel". Although, while we're on the subject of wormholes: If you got one and can control the entrances then you've got yourself a theoretical time-machine.

      I don't believe anyone was immplying that we would actyally reach the speed of light. Or anywhere near it.
      But even one a foufth would be remarkable.
      I guess time travel via the conventional way of a space cract is pretty much out of the question.
      OTher possibilities I don't know.
