So what's the point? Is the war suddenly justified since other countries also provided inaccurate intelligence? I didn't say it was entirely America's doing. Anyway;

Intelligent people who happen to disagree with me are one thing. Like Universal Mind, for instance, who I have a certain amount of respect for. I think he's completely and utterly wrong, but, he's intelligent and (usually) presents a good argument, in good faith, an his position isn't a priori completely stupid.

People who are completely and obviously wrong, and whose position is totally ludicrous and absolutely illogical and unsupportable, such as I believe your own on religious matters is, Keeper, I'm also fine with, as long as they argue (even if it is uneducatedly) in good faith and with a sense of civility. Plus, if they're active on other parts of the forum and participate productively in LD and dream-related discussion, and are a productive and WELCOME, WANTED member of the community (regardless of their off-topic viewpoint) such as you most certainly are, Keeper, this is a bonus.

But people who are simply idiotic, abusive, uncivil, arrogant and self-righteous and don't contribute productively whatsoever to the forums, I just don't have time for. Such as Nails/Hominus/Whoever-the-f%$&-he-is. The problem isn't with anyones views (Hominus/Nails agrees with me for the most part over religious matters) but with the manner that they conduct themselves.

I mean, it's none of my business what happens with members such as hominus. The mods and admins run this forum, and they do a good job, and I'm sure whatever they do or don't do, they have very good reasons. All I'm saying is that as far as I'm concerned, I'm just not at all interested in Nails/Hominus, whether he agrees with my views or not - I consider him a troll, and if I can figure out a way to ignore him using the sparkly new forum software, I will.

but why not try to show him his mistakes by being civil. you'll never convince him by insulting him, and you will be making an enemy for life. weather he can harm you or not, it doesn't matter, but why turn him against you if you dont have to?

Tried it already, with no success. By the way, I am STILL being civil - I'm not being angry or deliberately rude. I'm just also being very candid with my opinion of him.

And I agree with you on not making unneccesary enemies. This is something I try to live by in real-life. But tolerance only goes so far, and past a certain point, it becomes unreasonable to have to put up with something if you have to continually go out of your way to do so.

I have NO problem with any other members who disagree with me radically, such as Keeper and Universal Mind. I can argue with them, and get pissed off at their viewpoints without getting pissed of at THEM, that's fine. Healthy debate, that's great, I love it - it's fine to be angry about an idea, but not towards a person because of their idea, because that serves no purpose. Wow, you actually typed in a fashion that within one alinia you changed the subject entirely. It looked kind of forced. Anyway, I don't know Oriley. Most of the sites I visit only show part of fox news if it is clear they are lying or saying that they didn't say a certain think and a pasted right after that is them saying exactly what the denied. Kind of shocks me that in a selfproclaimed 'free' country there is such a manipulation news cannel. Other news channels in America I only know of by pieces of shows or news reports that show some cool people talking about how much their own government screwed up. www.spikedhumor.com has alot of those good clips. I wouldn't even have found that if I didn't look for movies of donkeys tipping over or something.

Maybe Saddam hid because he would get captured and killed no matter what? And perhaps because even while he didn't have WMD's, he still did some bad things like 15 years ago that he could get punished for.
