I just saw this little documentary about Henp (click).

I thought: oh great, some lame stoner shit. But actually it is mostly about hemp as material for books, sails, clothes and other important products. Really interesting that the first bible that was made with that pressing technique, that revolutionized the spreading of books, anyhow the first bible made that way was made from henp

So was the Declaration of independence. And the American constitution. Hemp Hemp Hemp.

Why did I never knew about the importance of hemp? I did learn about how Europe was all about trade, slaves and spices and shit. But Hemp has been a hugely important product for millennia!

      Pretty interesting.

Well I think there are few people on this forum close-minded enough to be against marijuana (that doesn't mean doing it yourself by the way). But if there are people that oppose legalizing marijuana, please do discuss why

I agree. I have heard that hemp is one of the most usfull plants in the world, and is not supposed to intoxicat your mind

      Why isn't it?

      It's good for both.

If you say people grew potent marijuana, stop eating all modern fruits, and stuff like corn. All those things have been created by mixing the best plants in Persian times. What you eat every day isn't what your gawd put on this earth. Corn used to be 3 inches long at best, and big juicy melons didn't exist except for in small, probably less tasty forms.

Hemp just happens to be great for food (hemp seeds) and clothes and even house-isolation. Also, there are kind of hemp that have always been 'intoxicating'. What, did satan put them there?

Anyhow, people just are scared of the very word hemp. People should understand better what the difference between hemp for clothes and hemp for recreational use is.

Yeah, the editor of High Times magazine was going on and on about the uses of hemp paper throughout history - which reminds me that I still need to edit the audio from that debate that I went to, so I can post it on the weed thread that was started a while back. I forgot all about that.
