Almost the solution. It is good to avoid as much industially made food as possible, but not everyone can do that. Not everyone has access. |

This is definitely frightening. It also doesn't help that they put all sorts of fertilizers and pesticides on the plants as well. How do we know none of those are causing bodily harm? I don't mean something like salmonella either. Recently it was shown that red meat could actually cause cancer, along w/ silicone and a lot of other random products. How do we know that some of the pesticides and fertilizers couldn't have the same effect? I know that they were all tested, but it could take years for a disease like that to develop in a person, so they wouldn't know until it was too late. |

The pet food recall has been at huge part of my work day for the last 3-4 weeks. We've seen A LOT of cats for screening renal (kidney) panels and urinalysis. We've only had 1 affected cat. It's definitely a scary thing for a lot of people. You never know - the food you are feeding your pet might be recalled tomorrow and your pet could get seriously ill or die. |
