Thread: UN should be moved?

Everyone is in the UN, Afghanistan, Colombia, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Korea, China, Russia, Sudan, Syria. Lets all come togather and vote on how best to run our government. Yea Right.

Like I said before, it isn't about other countries opinions when it comes to the US. Like I said, we cut funding for countries who vote against us. We don't care at all about the world. The UN is just stupid and can't really do anything.

I have not seen where this funding cut you claim has been done.

he means to say i think that means the US uses its economic clout to affect countries policaly and in other ways. if your looking for an example a simple google search would work there are plenty of examples.

I read about it in a book called "A People's History of the United States". Great book, you all should read it.

Why is that? I think you have made several good topics.

With so much global outreach, military force in so many areas and such a global economy the US is under a microscope. <For everything!
Countries expect our help when needed and squabble if all is not well.
I think many of the things are overemphasized due to this. If we held other countries to the standard of the US maybe people would begin to think differently.

well i have to disagree. On a positive note the usa is making sanctions on i think it is 3rd tier countries with unregulated human trafficking.

If they dont comply by making new laws or soemthing they get economic sanctions from big brother

I think that it would be a good idea to have the UN on a neutral place, maybe an island, but that doesn't seem realistic.

The idea that the US is corrupting/controlling the UN, meh I'm not sure about that because I don't really pay interest in what the UN does. I'd find it hard to think that because there are other countries there that would stop that from happening.

How do you corrupt a group that was worthless to start with? I mean you can say we are corrupting it but so is Russa and China. In the end its no wonder why its totally useless.

The US does corrupt it with threats, and the US pretty much controls the world, no one can stop us (except maybe China, but their economy would collapse with out us), so the United States doesn't care if the UN still disagrees. So the UN can't do anything, so it is pointless to be moved, its pointless for it to exist!

Saddly that is probably the other way around. China owns a large part of our national debt. Without China the US economy would likely collapse. Of course Chinas economy would likely collapse soon after ours but that hasn't stopped them from using it as threat before. Hopefully its only a bluff however.
