I have a friend, he drinks water, and he doesn't care about anything either. He also smokes marijuana every day.

My other friend used to drink water every day, and he broke his arm. He also crashed his car.

Actually, Grod your post makes no sense. Doctors told him to stop drinking tap actually, there is so much calcium in the water here its almost visible...his stones were composed of calcium.

      funny post though.

And did you ever think of the up sides of calcium?

i.e. helping with osteoporosis. Keeping bones strong.

Have you ever had a kidney stone? It's the most painful thing ever.

      Nope.

But that's also because my kidneys are healthy.

What does that have to do with anything?

Maybe YOU should lay off the crack.

I feel a bit late to the party here, but whenever I hear about the issues with fluoridation I'm reminded of George Carlin
Yeah, about time for me to get a little drink of water. Figure this stuff is safe to drink? Huh? Actually I don't care if it's safe or not, I drink it anyway. You know why? Cause I'm an American and I expect a little cancer in my food and water. That's right, I'm a loyal American and I'm not happy unless I've let government and industry poison me a little bit every day. Let me have a few hundred thousand carcinogens here.
Replace cancer with whatever you like, and it works. I'm going to keep drinking tap water because it's convenient as hell, and I like the taste of the water in my house. If it's slowly killing me, or dulling my mental acuity that's just all right with me, it couldn't possibly be worse than all the other terrible things I've put into my body through the years. Who wants to live forever anyway?

Im not sure about this but i heard recently that distilled water is not so good to drink regularly b/c doesn't have any mineral content. Another thing also is the plastic.

Come on have you never gotten drunk, or experimented with drugs? Well I have, and I knew that they were not good for me, but I did it anyway. I've eaten food from street vendors in third world countries. Eating in restaurants is gross and a little risky even in the west. Life's funner with a little risk, and why deprive yourself of any possible experience.

If I'm willing to do things like this and have made it through (as the bloody portrait of health and wellbeing I might add), I'm certainly not going to worry about the water from my tap (let alone go out of my way to get water some other way).

Oh, and just to continue the last part of that George Carlin bit because somebody with a sense of humor might appreciate it:
Ahh, a little cancer never hurt anybody. Everybody needs a little cancer I think. It's good for you. Keeps you on you're toes. Besides, I ain't afraid of cancer...I had broccoli for lunch. Broccoli kills cancer. A lot of people don't know that, it's not out yet. It's true. You find out you got some cancer...(click) get yourself a fucking bowl of broccoli. That'll wipe it right out in a day or two. Cauliflower too. Cauliflower kills the really big cancers. The ones you can see through clothing from across the street. Broccoli kills the little ones. The ones that are slowly eating their way from inside...while your goddamn, goofy, half- educated doctor keeps telling you, "You're doing fine Jim." In fact bring your doctor a bowl of broccoli. He's probably got cancer too—probably picked it up from you. They don't know what their doing, it's all guesswork in a white coat. Here, let me have a few more sips of industrial waste.

Ahh, maybe...maybe I can turn them cancers against one another. That's what you gotta hope for you know, that you get more than one cancer so they eat each other up instead of you. In fact, the way I look at it, the more cancer you got, the healthier you are.

What a surprise, the same people in this thread who love Mcdonalds don't believe fluoride is dangerous.

Mcdonalds have been proven to be dangerous, flouride has not been proven to be dangerous. Also, I don't eat Mcdonalds and I really don't see how you can come to your conclusion.

A biased organic website, genius. The sources are too other biased website, which have not been peer reviewed. So the arsenic claim is proberly rubbish.

Break the sentence down logically and you see I could not have possibly been talking about you. The point is that some people just do not care about the larger picture of things; it was not an attempt to show any sort of evidence for or against the validity of these arguments.

I do agree tap water is not for human consumption for many reasons other than just fluoride, but studies support the safety of fluoride when used in toothpastes and by dentists, not enough is consumed to cause toxicity when used as directed.
