I mean what could the less informed know that the experts dont, it seems silly that people keep coming out with this doomsday crap all it does is stand in the way of scientific progress.
Any black holes which are created will be tiny less then the size of an atom and they are only destructive within a certain radius with is surprisingly small and lies withing the range of or just beyond the event horizon. Not to mention the fact that they will degrade almost instantly
More importantly any black holes created will be proof of super string theory and ultimately may lead to discoveries in M Theory which is just spectacular. Just think if LHC works we may have a theory of Everything and be able to explain were the universe came from frankly I think it is worth the tiny risk they are taking
