Yes, the enterers question will still makes sense if asked in Japanese.
If you can understand the concept of Undifferentiated Mind you might even come to experience Undifferentiated Mind. If you experience Undifferentiated Mind you might even come to realize that Undifferentiated Mind is your essential Nature.
How can you know what is the "natural" state of the mind?
I can claim it's mine, a feral child can (or could, if he knew how to communicate) claim it's his. There's is no natural state.
Each country, and individual for that matter, has their own unique way of looking at and interpreting the world around them.
You are acting as if you have been self-appointed the arbiter of logic, and are somehow worthy to hold the torch of logic, and defend it by denying other versions of reality...
What is 'valid' and 'invalid' change depending on our point of understanding of ourselves and where we are going...
How could you possibly be at the point of ultimate understanding to deem what is 'valid' and 'invalid'?
And with that in mind, one should stop pointing the finger at others who one arbitrarily claims to see as "deluded"...
"Delusion", as with any word or concept, is in the eye of the beholder.
Certain ways of applying your logical constructs could be considered delusion to certain cultures and mindsets.
There is no end to what one considers anything.
It must take a lot for a rational reductionist to have to humble themselves into admitting that.
Because then that would mean their entire mindset would've been in vain... which it is on both sides of the word, mind you. :chuckle:
See.
He gets it.
The rational reductionist wouldn't ever be able to.
The reason being...
You can't reduce the reducer.
In attempting to do so, one would futilely and endlessly fill the reducer up with meaningless terms of reduction.
Like a blackhole trying to interpret it's nonexistence by sucking all of existence into it.
Do you see the contradictions created from holding onto that mindset?
From here, it's glaringly obvious. :chuckle:
That has no basis in the conversation at hand or the ones in which you and others like you are overly-critical of other ways of thinking.
Where is the logic in pushing your version of rational reductionism 4.0 on everyone?
You're no different than religious zealots other than the terms and concepts you choose to argue over differ in spelling.
Pi... God... same thing...
It's called the mystery of life and consciousness... humble yourself to it sometime...
Ironically, you're the one who seems committed to a specific belief and has the universe all figured out.
Oh yeah, there is no way in hell Cyclic is wrong. He's even more infallible than the pope!
Wow, someone read some Carl Jung while on acid.
Synchromysticism is another pseudo-science perpetuated by hindisght bias and self-fulfilling prophecy. It is really as easy as that.
Even the most stochastic system will create patterns identifiable by phenomenological beings. Do not mistake this for some divine interweaving energy - you are smart enough to know that you are the being that is identifying and propogating labels and categorising the universe under vague mystical terms.
Even Jung himself thought it was silly.

Yeah, nothing to see here. Move along. Line forms to the right...
I never said I have it all figured out. I'm just having fun entertaining thoughts and allowing others to, as well.
Also, it's clearly not a matter of 'right' or 'wrong'. If that's the case, then all thoughts are 'wrong' because no one has it figured out.
The posts are meant to be taken at face value as proverbial backdoors into your multi-faceted self.
Sure, you can sit there and chip away the paint at any door you stand before...
Or, you can take it for what it is... a door... and walk through it...
The way you guys spend hours on end verbally picking away at paint chips and eating them with the different open-ended ideas in the Philosophy and R/S sections of this forum as if it ever gave any of you some solid answers to the ongoing epiphenomenon called life, is absolutely no different from what I'm doing here.
I used to get a kick out of having those empty verbal battles, now I find them beyond trivial. I'd much rather piece together some interesting ideas by myself and find some interesting pictures in the process than spend hours arguing semantics with random internet personas.
The rational reductionist left-brained mindset you hold with putting ideas, concepts, and empty terms up on a pedestal could be turned back at you in a critical way if you actually thought enough about it.
You'll never get a conclusion worthy of full belief.
Entertaining thoughts is all we ever do.
Get over yourselves.
Live and let live.
Are you kidding me? You're using a resonance in the table as some sort of "proof" of your bullshit? Now, if you ever studied even 11th grade physics, you would know that there are these things called "standing waves", which by their very nature, form dynamically stable patterns in media. But they only occur at certain very specific frequencies and their harmonics, which are determined by the geometry of the medium. Geezus you look dumb right now.
Oh so it's 'just science'? Gosh, my bad, I thought it was 'synchromysticism'.
They're incompatible opposites right? I mean I wouldn't want to confuse the nature of the universe with the nature of the universe or anything stupid like that...
Can I burrow some of your omniscience cream?
Fair enough, I concur. I simply wanted to state that the vague reasoning and talking comes off patronizing and sometimes pretentious. I mean no offense, it simply bothers me to hear people say that they think there is little reason to question the world and then make fun of others for having fun in analytical games.Quote:

I completely agree. Do not make the mistake of thinking you are immune to this.Quote:

That is clearly not what this entire thread is about. The spiritual and unfalsifiable reasoning is abundant.Quote:

Just so you know, your finite reductionist labels of certain phenomenon don't answer or explain the bigger epiphenomenon at hand.
It never will.
No matter how hard you try to break down or explain something it doesn't do anything but dress up a small fraction of the ongoing inexplicable epiphenomenon in words...
Limited logical constructs... forever wrapped in the unlimited...
I know I'm not immune.
However, I also know that I'm personally done picking at paint chips with people...
So, if picking at paint chips is where your path leads... keep them to yourself...
I've had my fill...
Don't speel that pretentiousness around like that. You know you began the whole posts of yours with your "divine" words under the pretense that we are all "wasting our time" speaking like "dancing marionettes".
Your arrogance and then denial of your pretentiousness is what I find amusing, personally. You start of your posts noting out the futility of analytical games, but if you truly held this to be your personal belief, you would not have spoken to began with let alone make an effort to constantly show how pointless or futile it is.
Perhaps you should consider that many of us already believe how pointless it is to define the world and understand it, but in discussing matters of the world, we can still learn about ourselves, others, and, simultanteously, develop new interestes and attributes for ourselves.
Believe me, I believe life is pointless and I make a continuing effort to show how death is so envigorating. However, I am still passionate in my discussions as it helps grow others as much as grow yourself.
I hope you can find the futility in your path and eventually grow from that.

When I spoke of the masks we wear and how we marionette ourselves around uncontrollably, I never name names because we are all undeniably guilty...
How does pointing that out and reminding people of that from time to time hurt anyone?
It's not arrogance when I actively and knowingly also include myself.
I said we are all fools in agreeing with cloud because in every respect we are...
The Fool is God. The number of the card is zero, which when drawn is a perfect circle. This circle represents both emptiness and infinity. The Fool is not shackled by mountains and valleys or by his physical body. He does not accept the appearance of cliff and air as being distinct or real. When you receive The Fool in a tarot reading, you are ready to begin The Fool’s Journey into the unknown. The Fool’s originality, enthusiasm, sense of adventure and faith in the world are yours.
Certainly, just being called a fool from time to time can't be reason to get one's proverbial panties in a bunch?
All for naught, my friend... All for naught...
