I don't see a problem, unless it nonconcensual sex. If both agree and they're both older than whatever agerestriction their country has for sex, I think it's cool.

edit: provided that them getting babies is possible, without higher chances of downers and whatever.

I don't think incest should be illegal. Laws against incest are worthless laws. If Bubba Joe and his sister Melba Sue want to have raunchy trailer sex, they are going to do it, and Sheriff Lobo is not going to stop them. However, they are disgusting creatures.

i would think it should be legal. and i wouldn't look down upon people for doing it if they did it out of actually being in love with each other. if it was just for sex that might be a little strange but not I still wouldn't call them awful, horrible people. what makes your sister's vagina different from some trampy hooker's at the bar? (other than obvious disease and virus possibilities)

Apparently marriage between cousins is favorable in many cultures and there is little risk of birth defects.

The only reason we think incest is disgusting is because of the genetic consequences. If I woke up tomorrow to find that incest no longer had any such consequences then I'd still be disgusted by it because it's been so ingrained in my mind as one of the worst taboos. But if it had never, in the history of our species, had such consequences then it would not be taboo and we'd probably all look at family members as potential sexual partners.

I think there might be something innate there. It might have evolved biologically as a result of the awful consequences that result from inbreeding.

If you're going to remove the genetic abnormality consequences, you're also going to have to remove the innate sense against incest that natural selection built into us for that very reason.

A study done a few years ago found that mothers smelling sweating gym shirts would not find their own sons' sweaty shirts sexually appealing in 98% of cases. Natural selection has built it into us to 'know' that incest doesn't work, and that's where our taboo against it comes from.

I'd allow it, its not the most normal thing but, if you happen to fall in love with a family member, why should you be put in jail?

I know ive had crushes on cousins before, theres nothing abnormal about that, but I doubt I would act upon it unless they did and kept it a secret LOL...
