Was Diem trying to take over the world? How far did he get with it?

I think your whole conspiracy theory about Soviet Domination is a little far fetched. I look at reality, most of the time. In reality, this place over here -------> the dictator that desrves to get his ass kicked more is the one doing more atrocious things to people.

Good example. Now, which would be a bigger deal... somebody oppressing your thumb or somebody trying to take over and oppress your entire body?

What I'm getting at is you don't understand the Cold War, you don't understand communism, and you don't know what you're talking about. This idea of Soviet Expansion is a conspiracy theory. Just because communist revolutions were ending up in the hands of dictators doesn't mean there was some conspiracy to take over the world.

Besides, the seeds for the destruction of the USSR can be seen in the very design of the economic system. All we did was provide enough arms competition that we put pressure on their economy to tip it over.
