      An optimistic (*sarcasm) US/World future outlook

      Ran across this site a couple days ago. Now, the author seems to backup all his points with facts (or links to articles, and some undisputed events). Beware, however, that it does eventually suck you into a realm of 'prophecies'/religion (with Nostradamus-esque quotes from some dude named Vince Diehl). I managed to find a thread in which he (or someone claiming to be him) responds to people challenging some of his claims here. BUT, again, there's info on here which you can't deny as they have been reported.

      I dunno what to make of it, so I thought I'd toss it in here for discussion.

      PS- I found the H-P Natural Gas Reserve story a bit scary, as it does coincide with the huge sinkhole that just appeared in TX a few weeks ago

      It seems like its not so much the World will go down as much as it will automatically have to change over the entire economic world model. Power is going to be traded over to bankers in exchange for financial security. Countries will unionize like the EU in order to secure their currency. Anything beyond that I will admit is far-fetched speculation, like world government and what not, but the economies of naations all over the world are linking up more and more for the sake of their own security, it only seems natural that with the US in a recession the government is doing nothing about, we'll see economically unionized government whose entire economic prosperity was bankrolled by a bunch of people that will now have complete control over their industries.

      Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
