Sometimes people in the government lie. Are you going to counter the specific points I made?

I think he probably just isn't a religous man. He just went through the motions and showed up to church each week, because hes 'supposed' to. He probably never changed churches because it was to much trouble to bother finding a new one, and he probably never listened to the person anyway.

Possibly he knew other important people who went to the church and he used it to network with them, and make political friends.

A person who has a major problem with anti-Americanism will not be a member of a church like that for twenty years one way or the other.

Yes. There are plenty of nice harmless churches around that focus on community service and stuff like that. Especially if you're a politician, why join a church that has an anti-American megalomaniac as a pastor and racist core tenets? Unless you feel positive about it...

If I was American, I probably wouldn't vote at all this year. Douche and Turd.

Douche is a little less disgusting, and that is what McCain is. I am so tired of how much the political candidates suck every presidential election. The Democratic and Republican nominee both suck really bad every election. I sometimes wonder if they are really the same party and getting their kicks by giving us awful candidates. I mean... Bob Dole? That had to have been a practical joke. George W. Bush? They must have been thinking, "Let's go get somebody who talks like a studdering first grader having trouble reading Dick and Jane to the class." I don't think Bush is an idiot, but a president needs to be an incredible speaker. If Bush had top notch communication skills, I don't think he would be so hated. On top of that, he has some really stupid policies. Then what do the Democrats have? John Kerry? Straight off the used car lot. I don't fathom how anybody could miss that. Bill Clinton? Straight off the used car lot, except probably the used car dealership employee of the month every month for ten years. There are plenty of worth a shit people out there. I can't believe the parties won't nominate them.

Who said he had a major problem with anti-americanism? Thats just political stuff. He probably went there for appearance sake, and didn't give a damn what the preacher said, one way or the other. If hes anti american, what does obama care?

Tons of people go to church simply because they are 'suppose' to. Lets assume he is one of them. What does he gain from leaving the church? Nothing. Sure he doesn't have to listen to the man anymore, but he never really listed to him anyway. What does he gain for telling the man to stop, or standing up for america? Not much, hes going to preach what he wants and obama isn't going to stop him. The only real gain in this situation is to sit back and just ignore it, it makes things easy.

To me this doesn't make him look bad in anyway. What it does show me, is that he is the kind of person who just goes with the flow, and doesn't like to rock the boat. How does that relate to how he would run the country? Well hes always promoting, change! He isn't going to change anything, its to much work. 20 years he just went with the flow, why do you think he is going to stir up stuff now? Then again, I already knew he had no plans to change anything. He has never spoken about real changes before, so if your paying attention its obvious. So this just tells me what I already knew, and isn't a big deal.

The nation, as I explained. 9/11 victims did not bomb Japan, God oriented kharma connection based purely on nationality, etc. See previous posts. Somebody who doesn't hate the country itself would throw in at least a few positive things, since they too are true, and he would say something like, "Certain government officials had some bad policies in the past, and I am glad our government does not do those things now." I am part Indian, and you will not catch me saying anything like, "She screwed me over." I don't think like that. I know that we lead the world in very important humanitarian areas, and I acknowledge it. I see the very good and the individuality that exist in this country. Wright sees neither. He hates this country.

We are talking about Barack Obama's 20 year plummer mail man class mate cashier bar tender PREACHER.
He never said 9/11 victims bombed Japan..

Its called a preach. He isn't going to list all the negatives and positives, its a direct attack on a certain subject.

He wasn't saying he was black and that America screwed him over, he is pointing out fallacies the country has made, and that it continues to make mistakes. How can you judge a person based on 2 sentences he made on a speech? And to go further than that and judge a person on a couple sentences his preacher made. It is nonsensical. Read the 500 word speech he made.

Whats even more is that you don't combat any of his political statures. You only argue on this one point. You don't argue on foreign policy, economic, and the vast amount of different issues, which are clearly more important than this misinterpreted incident.

Again, certain people in the government did bad things in the past. I said that is true. I have Indian ancestors who really got screwed. That does not mean the country itself did it. I sure as Hell didn't do it. Nobody I know did. He talks as though the country is one mind that owned slaves and screwed over Indians and is still the same mind. It is an illogical perspective. That is why his bizarre kharmic connection between Hiroshima and 9/11 victims was irrational and hateful against the country itself.

Also, again, watch how the audience reacts. That proves that Obama went to an anti-American extremist church for twenty years, which illustrates what kind of mentality he has, which illustrates how he will act on the issues. Do you see the connection?

Yeah, I have to agree there. Countries don't do things, individuals do. It's funny when in the interviews pastor Wright doesn't understand the fallacy with which he is looking at social groups as a whole. He's like "[No, it's not racist that our blacks-only church is exclusively for the good of black people, black family, black education, black Christianity. Don't you know anything about black theology? Don't you know that Christianity originated among blacks in Africa, blablabla. The only reason we have to do this is because the whole society is based on white supremacy and black oppression, blablabla]". Then he doesn't get that individuals aren't responsible for the actions of individuals who happened to live within the same geographical borders some previous time. He's a goddamn collectivist, I HATE collectivists. I'd really like to know what percentage level of blackness you need to have to be admitted to that racist whorehouse.

I mean, "black value system, black family, black work ethic, pledge to support black institutions"? You have to be shitting me. You can only get scholarships for Black universities. And so on. This was officially in there when Obama joined. It's absolutely ridonculous.

That is exactly my problem with him. He takes groups of people who have nothing to do with each other except race, nationality, etc. and treats them as a single team in which all of the team members are accountable for the actions of all of the other members. That is precisely the mentality at the root of racism, anti-nationalism, and all kinds of other terrible things. People who do not understand the concept of individuality are dangerous.

I didn't say he said he was black and America screwed him over. I was saying that such a point would come from the same mentality he has. He speaks in major generalizations. He does it in a manner that is illogical and shows nationalist hatred. Did you read what I wrote about the congregation's reaction to his more than two sentences? Did you read what I wrote about the congregation's reaction to what Pfleger said in far more than two sentences? Did you see my question about whether it is a coincidence that the congregation just happened to reveal itself to think that way too? Did you see what I said about how that situation proves that Obama was going to an extremist church and had to have known it?

Surely a president, if it's anything like the UK, has a whole team of politicians to help him write new policies. He may say, " I want to lower taxes and help the poor!", but it is his team of highly skilled politicians, lawyers etc who make the policy, i mean ok he has his input but it's not like Obama or McCain just sit down and write a new policy and bam it's law. What i mean is surely no matter who wins when they make a dumb policy and their is public outrage they will have to change the policy because they don't want to lose the next election, just like in England Gordon Brown reversed the 10p tax rate because all the working class people were pissed off and he fears losing their vote. Of course then he was called weak for doing that, but that kind of public and media stupidity is for another day. Anyway people in his party can vote against his policies, which in the UK they often do debate them for quite a while, maybe in America policies pass right through without ridicule, i don't know.

Also the reason i don't want to see McCain is charge is because to me it seems he is an old war veteran who frankly dislikes the East in general. Wasn't he captured in a war he was involved in? He has sang " bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran", Obama may have little experience but i haven't seen him do that. Obama won't win because he is black, i still think in the end more Americans will vote for the white guy, even if it ends up being close i think McCain will win. The only reason he wouldn't is because people want a Democrat not a Republican because Bush sucked so much to them, so they'll vote Democrat not necessarily vote Obama himself.

I just want a president that's not going to point at a random location in the middle East and say " OMG THEY HAVE WMD's!!!! Bomb them to shit!.....and...secure that OIL!!! YEEEEHA!!". To me Obama is less likely to do this. I know people say he seems soft on terrorism, but then again if those terrorists are not lying in their extremist speeches, they often say they will attack until America leaves their lands alone. Maybe if he America slowly withdraws troops and doesn't invade elsewhere their will be peace for a few years( I'm not going to be overly optimistic and say generations because they'll start fighting again. The only way to prevent it is to wipe out all radical Muslims, Christians, Jews, Sikhs etc, however that counts as Genocide..)
Lugggs and cuddles and hugs for all!!

Answer me one question. Has Obama shown any extremist traits? There is proof he went to an extremist church, but no proof he is extremist. How are you going to prefer McCain? No education past high school, extremely poor on public speaking, and almost unchanged political policies as George W. Bush. He admits he doesn't know much about economics, he contradicts himself over, and over.

Hopefully we will see McCain blow over after actual competition. After Obama's speech on Iran, he is showing he is stronger, and more fit to be a leader. If McCain is president, we would not have the historic speeches, and nationalism, as we would with Obama. Obama is not only smarter, and more confident, but symbolizes a country united once more.

Be realistic. How can Obama be anti American, when he is running for president of the country?

Hamas is publicly supporting Obama. Go figure. I would bet you my car that Al Qaeda is rooting for Obama. If Obama wins the election, Al Qaeda will have much more confidence about attacking us domestically and will AGAIN start throwing out the terms "weak" and "paper tiger". Read up on why they said it last time. Obama = bad idea.
Sorry but McCain made himself look very weak in his last speech, while Obama attacked Islamic extremists.

      http://youtube.com/watch?v=dEGecX3XjKE&feature=related

Yea I'm sure Islam extremists are happy.

Speculation at its best, well done. I bet terrorist are rooting for McCain, as having a 100 year war in Iraq will be good breading ground for hatred of US. Do you know that Al Qaeda was not in Iraq intill US invaded?

No, I said nothing about guilt. That is a variable you introduced into this. It is relevant because Hamas likes specifically Obama's Middle East and terrorism ideas. Middle Eastern terrorists like Obama's Middle Eastern terrorism handling ideas. Specifically, they want to see us weaker. Obama is the man for that, which is a problem.

No, it is not an alternative I might as well have drawn out of a hat. Al Qaeda wants generally the same things Hamas wants, one of which is a weakened United States.

McCain does not want a 100 year war in Iraq. That is another smoke and mirrors illusion presented by the left wing bullshit media. McCain said we might need troops there that long in the way we have had troops in countries like Germany and Korea. Are we still at war with those countries? That is spin you are talking.

Right after the eight year Clinton presidency, which involved the presidential move that Bin Laden himself said convinced him that we are "weak" and a "paper tiger", which Bin Laden said gave him and his Al Qaeda scum the idea that they could pull off 9/11.
