Furthermore socialist ideas have been successful in the past. Socialism saved the whole fucking country in the 1930s. Yeah, have you ever heard of the New Deal?

The most successful aspects of the new deal were ones handled on a community basis, meaning no big federal bureaucracies. It means you don't have to look any further to find your evil socialist dictator than city hall. If the federal government remained completely hands off, covering only military and college subsidies, and we allowed local governments where democracy works to have a little bit of control, we could save the health system, the education system, and the economy.

Actually the new deal made the depression worse, I bet you didn't know that...socialism = fail.

      Let's see here...

1928 - President Hoover was elected, the economy was fine.

Late 1929 - People max out their purchasing power because they owe installment payments on all the consumer bullshit they bought so factories stop producing. Hoover, with his trust in Capitalism which brought the country to such a peak, did not believe the people should be bailed out of this crisis through federal manipulation of industry and instead tried talking the industries into hiring people to to produce shit no one could afford to buy. When the banks were in trouble, he helped them out. When the pigs were in trouble, he subsidized the vaccine that saved their lives. Sure, that was socialism, but that was for our banks and our pigs, I guess it doesn't count unless you're helping people.

When FDR was elected, they employed people to do shit like build bridges and produce art and whatever that they just stored away so it wasn't welfare, it was just optional government employment that basically worked like welfare for people that weren't lazy. He built dams to produce energy so everyone in Tennesee and what have you could industrialize, and thanks to pressures by the supporters of Huey Long he also eventually folded and put in social security.

Yeah, the latter programs being presented were beginning to create problems but that's why certain aspects of capitalism are also important, competition helps industries transform to suit the markets in order to maintain a healthy economy without wasteful programs. But with the local government employing our teachers, firemen, police officers and librarians, why can't it employ our doctors, too?

With certain industries, money is the bottom line in order to maintain the leverage of the country. They exist to produce money, basically, but other industries are important to the infastructure of a society and yet have money as their bottom line. Health should be the bottom line of healthcare, that's all I'm saying.

I agree with the people who say that socialism won't work in america, but isn't the current system already not working. I personally believe there is no such thing as a system that works. People need to work with each other and help each other, the current system of competion and self importance can never work. The problem with socialism is that it is still one man telling another man what to do. This inevitably creates a situation where one man is considered superior to another. We are all human. We all make mistakes. People must make the decision to help others on their own, the use of force is quite childish and very innefective. There will always be the problems of war and poverty until we the people of earth stand united as one.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.
