ok, but their really is no argument here that she doesn't hate gay people. She has shown it by trying to pass numerous laws. She even tried to take away health benefits from same sex couples.

That is not the broad defintion of the word, thats just not the definition.. I wouldn't be arguing for Sarah Palin if you weren't using misleading words..

Ok, I can understand why some people would assume these things about her, but lets be real here, neo cons are the ones who are more worried about gays or races and the real conservatives are worried about our economy and how to handle the war. I think She is a little more of the latter.

edit: Ace, he is not saying its OK to hate gays, he is saying hating gays is not racism. You can be a homophobe and not be racist. EX: you hate gay men but you have no problem with straight black men or straight men of any race for that matter. This does not mean being a homophobe is ok, its just not being racist. hating on all those groups that you mentioned is equally bad, but its not being racist, they are different terms, so you have to use them if you dont want to be misleading.

When McCain surrendered his campaign to the right-wingers who are currently holding it hostage, he signaled to everyone that he would be beholden to their interests if he were to win. He needs them to win this election, and he will definitely need them to win a re-election if by some nightmare he were to get elected.

If true conservatives want to see this nation develop into the ideal conservative system of government, they had better get to work on removing the evangelicals and neo-cons out of the equation altogether. Otherwise fiscal discipline, smart national security/defense and smaller government will always take a backseat to God, guns and gays.
