I was reading the thread about bi's gays and lesbians. An interesting point was brought up concerning the labels and classifications surrounding these people.

It was asked why there are labels for this, and that there should be no labels...

Well, these classifications are a fundamental part of human reasoning/logic. Our rational mind naturally goes about dividing things into classifications so eventually an endpoint can be reached and a label can be plastered onto the object. This way we can know what it is, give it a name for everyone to call, and everyone can agree.

I don't think people will get rid of labels, and say things like "I am what I am" when asked about their sexuality in the future. Classifications (labels), reason and logic is what built up our current world..
