If FEMA or the NWO or whoever is reading this, I'd just like them to know that I don't plan on resisting their reign. If someone can get everyone in the US by the balls, I respect that. Better not to be sent to prison camp than resist pointlessly.

With the expansion and development of a species like ours, chipping becomes more of a convenience. Humanity however, at it's current state, is clearly not ready for it. There would need to be a universal change in the way we behave towards one another to make the idea a non-threatening one. At present we exhibit domineering and cruel behavior towards others of our own kind, which makes the malicious use of chipping by those in power a likely possibility. The species needs to "evolve" (or genetically engineer) traits that make us less hostile towards each other (perhaps more empathetic?) in order to scratch the desire for power over other living things. That's one option to consider.

What's the ultimate purpose of chipping supposed to be? Manageability of the species' records and data? The concept of tracking a person isn't new. If any top-secret government organization wanted to track you with the way things are today, I'm sure they'd have very little trouble finding and keeping a close eye on you.

I would not, however, choose to get the implant. Personal preference. It's something that could work for future humanity, but I don't see it's present-day implementation coming without some serious/violent reactions from those also opposed to the idea, assuming it was made mandatory.

I also feel we aren't ready for this, and i sincerely believe it WILL be used to for manipulative persons.

And somehow i just see this chip becoming martial law and everyone must be chipped.

Just wait. In 50 years we'll all be slaving under a tyrannic government, working for digi-creds (virtual money) on the Verichips implanted in our heads, and able to be killed at any moment if we go against the government in any way by remote detonation of said chip.
