      You were saying that the law could be abused by you pretending to be gay or trans to add to your case. You can't do that, though.

      Why can't I dislike a person that is gay/trans, but for reasons other than that? The jury doesn't have to take my word for it. Just like if a white and a black person fought (respectively), it would be hate crime even if race had nothing to do with it. I still see no legitimate reason for laws like these since everyone is already covered, otherwise I would change my mind.
