      I doubt they actually tested his DNA before and after, I think they are just saying that because they don't know how someone could survive without food or water and be healthier than someone half his age without some genetic transformation. But... I don't think they mean that literally.

      Where would he get the energy from though? I get that he meditates, but wouldn't he have to derive energy from a source? (whether in this dimension or not)

      That's pretty awesome. It's not like anyone can really discredit him either, because obviously he is getting energy from external sources. And I'm not sure on this, but it doesn't sound like it's a placebo as someone else said. I'm pretty sure placebo effects can only go so far. But hey, who knows!
