Any workout will work if you are motivated lol. I love how all these companies and products are always like "Regular crunches don't work!" or "regular this regular that doesn't work!" I guess back in the old days we had workout videos? so even walking around the block and doing a few sittups and exercises without weights or anything..its still possible to gain good results. But p90x seems to be a iffy thing..I personally think its tough and for those who will actually go through with it.

I have a large group of mates that did p90x. It worked for them very much, built muscle and melted fat within a short amount of time.

You can get it all from an online seller The Pirate Bay.

I have a fat friend who did it, it worked for him.

just down some N.O. and hit the gym ~ that's what got me started. I grew up most of my life in pretty good shape, but totally lost it when I was game testing a few years back and built quite the beer belly. Considering that I got lots of overtime, that was a whole lotta hours-per-day of physical inactivity.

I don't like to take the stuff that much anymore, I still hit the gym consistently. I just take supplemental protein powder in the meantime.

always great to have a spotting partner, too.

good luck with your endeavor, I heard good things about P90x. Let us know how it goes if you're going through with it.

I have P90x. The main thing I suppose you should know is that it is INTENSE. I'm not quite disciplined enough to follow the regimen to a T, but if you keep up with the workouts, for the most part, then it will definitely work. It's hard for me to keep the motivation to work out, when I'm at home, so I mainly do the Ab-Ripper X workout at home, and work the rest of my body in the gym.

But it's good shit, if you have the drive for it. I'd say definitely check it out, but be ready to work.

My cousin used it. O's pretty much right on all points. It is intense, but if you stick at it you should end up in pretty good shape. My cousin was in decent shape before he started, and my the time he was done he was ripped.

Keep in mind that no single workout will have a huge impact. It is more about your overall lifestyle, and making consistent changes in your day to day behavior. Check out this article:

It basically says that crazy-hard workouts are actually worse for losing weight. We have a tendency to eat more when we work out hard. We also will be less active if we are exhausted from too much excercise. An hour of working out is only 4% of your day. Even if you are going crazy during that hour, it won't make a huge difference if it negatively impacts the other 96% of your day.

In my TKD classes there is a guy who is in his twenties that does P90x. He does it to gain weight or something. But, he cant do the work outs in our classes... so i dont know how he can do the P90x ones.

I would recommend it only if you could not go to a place that works out, or do not want to. For you Elis, i bet you have no problem going to the Gym. But still, i am not downing P90x, i just dont think it will do exactly what the people say it will.

      Good advice.

Remember: Eat something within about an hour after working out. During that time, your body is still burning calories. Watching what I eat is probably the hardest part of working out, for me. Eliminate late-night snacks (aside from maybe some fruit) and start drinking lots of water, if you don't already.

Another important thing to know about P90x is that it centers on "muscle confusion." It throws a certain workout program at you, for about 3-4 weeks, and then it completely switches it up, so your muscles don't get used to the workout, and you don't plateau. So, you really have to stay with the program for a good while, to get the most out of it. If you're working out and eating right, though, you should start seeing results pretty quickly.
