      Dreams you can't remember

This may have been covered before, and I'm sure many folks have experienced this. Have you ever woke from sleep knowing you had a dream, but for the life of you, could not remember what int he world it was about? This happens to me only once in a while - I'll have a dream that actually makes me wake up in the middle of the night (like it scares me awake) and I don't remember exactly what the dream was about...except that it made little sense. I can't recall specific details, and I never have the same dream again.

For me, it's not even a matter of keeping a dream journal - the second I wake up, I have no idea what in my dream made me wake up and it drives me nuts that I can't even write it down. Oddly enough, when I do have a dream I can recall, I often remember it in significant detail.

      Thoughts?

Exactly what i've been having recently. I know i had some great dream but i just dn't remember. I just remember that it wasn't a nightmare.
I try and try to see if i can remember what happened. but i have nothing. It's weird.

last night i woke and thought, "wow, that was awesome, i wished i remembered what happened"
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

Yup, you wake up and it's like it's just hanging on the edge of you mind and any second you'll remember it. But... You don't lol

It has happened to me many times and it's always a little bit frustrating. The dreams just seem to have been erased, the feeling is that they are there, in front of you, somewhere, but you cannot access them.

I hate when this happens! It happens to me all of the time... Every time I know I had a dream, but I can't remember it, and I know it was awesome.

When I don't remember a dream, I write down words I may remember from the dream. Although you do not remember details, you'd be surprised how some keywords you write down will get you remembering some of the dream. May sound weird, but I remembered a dream 3 days later using this method. But everyone's experience may be different.
